I didn't have 3 prong outlets anywhere in my house except in the kitchen. I wanted to charge my brand new laptop and the charging cord that came with it was only able to be plugged into a 3 prong outlet. I searched for something that would look nice and also allow me to plug in other items. This was the perfect product. It works very well for what i'm using it for.
