Great sound
The media could not be loaded. Bought this Buffet Crampon Dynaction on a whim. Threw this mouth piece on and sounded decent. Great buy both alto and mouth piece. Getting started definitely no loss.

Easy to produce a good sound
The Glory alto sax mouthpiece is a good value in my opinion. The molded plastic features are good quality but you can tell it is not hand finished. I saw a few molding burrs around the sharp corners. I measured the tip opening to be about 1.4mm (.055") which explains why it is so easy to get a good sound. I used a Rico 2.5 strength reed. It seemed free flowing to me. I have many other sax mouthpieces that cost 10 or even 20 times more and all have their unique sound but I believe your student will not be disappointed with this purchase.

fantastic inexpensive mouthpiece
I don't know much about saxophones and i wanted a cheap mouthpiece so that i could play with my son who has his own mouthpiece and this does the job. I was going to return it because it squeaked at first but then I realized it was my problem. I was blowing with my mouth all the way up to the ligature. You need to just pucker your lips and just blow with like the first inch covering and then it makes a pretty good sound. My five stars are for a mouthpiece that is the cost of 1/15 a professional one. If I get good at it i'll throw some more money at a top end one. But for now this works.

Not the worst.
I bought this for only 10 dollars and I was able to at least make decent sounds and begin to learn how to play. I would recommend it if you’re unsure you’re going to keep playing but if you’re going to keep playing I would recommend you spend the money for a nice one
