Convenient notebook family not requiring punched holes in pages to be saved. I have used similar notebooks for more than 65 years; there is nothing else quite like them My 65+ year old similar notebooks (still in use) are more durable and a little easier to use, but I doubt they are still on the market. These being reviewed here are functionally similar and well enough made to be durable.These modern binders are available in bright, cheery colors ... my 65 year old versions were available only in undertaker black! Time marches on!Very few people seem to know these exist ... even in big stationary outlets, the sales clerks look at me blankly when I describe them.My advice? Try them. I think you will like them, and their novelty compared to 3 ring binders will intrigue you. And, they are durable.

I like the idea behind this old-fashioned design, especially as it works well for temporary storage of paper without punching holes -- making temporary project notebooks for meetings, for example, or for keeping a short stack of newly printed recipes together for future try-outs. However, unlike the old type of clamp, this recent version lacks the flat inset metal bar inside the clamp that protected the top pages from being marked with two deep, parallel impressions. This product would not be acceptable, say, for archival storage of your great-grandmother's fragile cookbook pamphlet, but I still like it for temporary storage of current papers. These binders have a sturdy angled pocket inside the front cover that could hold a map, CD, or tickets, and the spine has a wide pocket for inserting a label.

Love them. I put my ebooks in them I print off the internet. They are PERFECT for this! They are very nice and of great quality for the money. Very happy.

like the plastic over old pressboard but the binder is hard to label. bought for clamps; wish other colors were available.
