Well made, consistent size, easily crimped.
I have had boats for many years, in fact live on a boat in a marina winters in Miami. Boats are a constant maintenance item. Something is always needed to keep things right. Obviously the better quality of any fastener used in the boat fixing, the easier in the future to reduce maintenance.Our boat has a nice aft deck, like the porch of a house. We like to sit out there to visit and eat and drink. But, man, starting about noon, the sun bearing in from the west starts to get too warm to sit out there comfortably. Needed? A sun screen that blocks most of the sun and actually creates more privacy from passer-bys on the dock as well.So I bought a standard size sun screen from Amazon that fit my space and the Selocky Metal kit to affix the sun screen to the fiberglass of the aft deck.They went on cleanly, accepted all the steps needed to affix and held the sun screen in place. We are very pleased with the result.

used on thicker fabric
Used this on a thick, waterproof duck fabric from a national chain. At the seams and edges the fabric was doubled over on itself. So far, the snaps seem to be staying in place and holding tight on the fabric. Price wasn't bad, and included necessary tools except a hammer.

Purchased for my father who was making a boat cover. He said it was super easy to use and is holding together well.

The shipping on Amazon is getting better. The buttons are just what I expected. They are great. Good value for the price, easy to install.

Snaps do not hold well
Got this to replace some bad snaps on my pontoon boat cover. I was not able to achieve a good crimp with included tool as the rivet would always split in several places. The snaps do not hold nearly as well as the originals but some were better than others. I was not able to achieve a positive "snap" when using them but they do go together. They just pull apart too easily in my opinion.

Nice set.
I like that this snap tool kit arrived quickly as usual. Package was in perfect shape. It is very compact and has more pieces than I need. I’ll definitely have spares.
