Purchased September 20, 2013 (paid $43.99)Update 10-20-16: Yup, still using it and still working perfectly!Update 8-14-14: I have owned this for a year now (11 months) and still absolutely LOVE it. I use it every single day at least 12 hours a day. The only thing that would make it totally perfect is if it would dust itself!For the past 20 years I have been searching for just the right lamp for my desk, where I spend most of my waking hours. Sometimes I need a really good light for working, sometimes just enough to see my notes while playing a game. I've tried the usual gooseneck types and the ones that clamp. They all break within a year or so and ALL run much too hot, even when using LED bulbs.Last week I was watching the new  Star Trek Into Darkness  movie and noticed the lamps on the bridge. Eureka, that is what I needed! So I did an image search on Google and found the lamp here, the  LEDwholesalers 3-level Dimmable Touch Switch Folding LED Desk Lamp . It's perfect! Adjustable lighting, adjustable arms in multiple ways, the light is the blue/white that I require (yellow makes me sleepy), AND it's LED (we haven't used incandescent for many years and even fluorescent bulbs get quite hot). I've gone through several light stands and a lot of them have the problem of trying to clip onto the table, or aren't balanced right, or don't give enough light, or have odd designs. stands up with no problem, has an easily adjustable head, has different levels of brightness.PROS:* It has a simple design that matches anywhere it goes.* It's well balanced and has never fallen over. It just feels right.* The head is adjustable.* It has different levels of brightness that change when you press the button. It's bright enough to read, and dim enough to not blind your eyes late at night.* It's durable and lasts. I've used it for over 2 years now and still enjoy it. It works like the day I got it.CON: I only wish it were a tad heavier, since I've almost bumped it off the table a few times (my fault), but I'll still give it 5 stars.

I initially got this lamp for bedside reading in a dimly lit room. The set up was brief and easy (for a female). Now it sits on my desk and I have it on for about 12 hours a day, if not more. I've had it for almost a year and no complain on light output quality, nor hardware issues. The 1-star reviews had me looking at other options when I was still searching, but for the given price, I gave it a try anyway. I guess I was lucky to not receive a defective one!LIGHT LEVEL:Personally, I have good eye vision, and I prefer to have a good amount of light when I'm reading, or even just sitting there surfing the web. Even so, I normally have this lamp on level 2 light, and not the brightest level. At mid level (there are 3 levels), I found that there is enough light, daytime or nighttime. I only used the brightest level when my room light is off and I need to do some heavy reading. At nighttime when my spouse is sleeping, I have it on the lowest light level and he said it doesn't bother him. Just to give you an overall idea of the light levels. If you are a student who needs to do a lot of reading, I say this light is good enough!PHYSICAL ADJUSTMENT:It is fairly easy to adjust the lamp to a satisfying angle: lean forward/backward, a bit to the sides, fold down so light is directed to the back direction, and etc... It is one of the reasons why I chose this lamp. When I first got this lamp, I was out of state for a summer vacation, and I was sleeping on the floor. I needed a lamp that can provide good lighting at the ground level, and not cast a shadow from the top down, or casting too much light directly on my face. This lamp allowed me to do just that. I placed the lamp behind my head and folded it down vertically, casting light in direction parallel to the ground, and directly onto the pages and not my face. Let me also add that it is LED, so there was no heat issue involved.Reasonable pricing, looks nice, and functional. I would recommend it.

I was looking for a nice desk lamp to put on my desk in my college dorm room. I wanted something stylish, instead of the usual boring lamps you find in college. I also wanted something that had touch controls so that I could easily turn it on/off without fumbling for a switch.This lamp is pretty much perfect. It has three brightness settings; a user can cycle through these three settings by tapping the touch-sensitive surface at the bottom of the lamp. The brightest setting is VERY bright - I often use the second or first brightness level, which works fine for late-night schoolwork and is super easy on the eyes. The touch surface is extremely responsive, and it's easy to reach over and tap the surface once or twice to turn the lamp off before I call it a night.The overall build quality is good. There are a few seams visible in the plastic, but that's a minor complaint, and I won't dock a star from the overall rating just from that. It looks fantastic at pretty much any desk, and I love the futuristic look next to my iMac and CyberAcoustics speakers.Buy this if you need an alternative to a boring standard desk lamp. Would highly recommend.

I recommend this LED desk lamp if you are looking for an economical option. I bought it mainly for reading and studying. The three dimmable option works quite well, so that I can read my book with maximum brightness and tablet with minimum brightness to avoid glare. The build quality is adequate but not the strongest I've seen, some of the part are hard to move and an allen key is included so you can loosen and tighten the nut to make it easier to maneuver. One thing it's not been mentioned is that the beside the adjustable neck, the top of the lamp can also been turned 180 degree horizontally. The dimmable button is the touch type, it's interesting it won't trigger to anything such as paper or plastic. Overall I'm quite happy with the purchase.some of the specificification wasn't mentioned: Color Temp.: 5300~5500K, Brightness: 450lm, LED life time: 40000hr, Power Consumption: 7W

- I've been using this product for a little over two months and its a great upgrade on my old desk lamp which used a incandescent bulb.- The LED produces a nicer and more even white light. The three dimming options are quite useful, allowing me to determine how much light I need for what I'm doing. More light for reading, or less light for working at my computer.- My room has a lack of light, and when this lamp provides enough light to illuminate my desk and surrounding areas.- This product is just what you pay for. There are more expensive models that come with timers and USB charging ports. But if all you need is a dimmable light that doesn't take up much space and works well, I'd recommend this light.- I frequently leave the light on when I leave my room and the LED's should long outlast any incandescent or fluorescent bulb lamps

I've been using this attractive lamp for some years with pleasure and complete satisfaction. Colour temperature is how I like it for general office work and seems the same for each brightness setting. Does not flicker.

Lighting is very very good but in level 2 & 3 makes the humming sound from the base of the lamp that's annoying in silent environment and very distracting. Moreover, the light plate can't turn 90degs either side about vertical axis as mentioned in the box. So unhappy with these things.

They tripled the original price of $27.50 since I purchased several months ago!!! OK light, does the job, however hinges are loose when adjusting to any other angle except a perfect T. Good value at $27.50...$80+ no way!!! Much better lights available for that price.
