EISCO 50mL Acrylic Burette - Class B - 0.1mL Blue Graduations - with PTFE Key Stopcock

This is made of plastic which makes it much more resistant and perfect for the shop!!

I bought the glass version from the same supplier but it arrive smashed. I originally planned to buy this acrylic one but was put off by comments about the flow rate being too hard to control. It isn't. If you have been trained properly then you know you don't have to open the valve fully. I can keep the flow down to less than a drop per second.As for the burette itself, it is made from a straight acrylic tube with a separate stop-cock inserted at the bottom. This is wonderful because I am left-handed. It's easy to turn the stop-cock to face the other direction. This isn't possible with the glass version which makes it frustrating for some left-handers.I'm using this burette to generate data for publication in a journal and it's ideal for me. Cost is very important because I am an independent researcher and cannot justify brand glass burettes for occasional use.Of course, if you aren't using an aqueous liquid, check compatibility with acrylate polymers.

Using it for gasoline metering. Original o-rings (3) swelled and fractured the bottom of metering tube. Cut off broken end and replaced o-rings with buna-n. Ready to reuse.

This was the 3rd time I used it. I used water the 1st time, then isopropyl alcohol the next 2 times. Well it cracked and all the alcohol spilt. I don’t care about the alcohol, but this was not what I was expecting from this product. Very disappointed. Maybe I should have just bought a glass one. I figured this one would be more durable. I’ve never dropped or abused this. Hopefully you will have better luck with it.

The top of burret is straight causing it to create spills on filling. You need a funnel to fill properly.All it needs is a little flair at top

The burette works as advertised and is was what I wanted. Would recommend for anyone thinking about this to purchase it. It is accurate compared to a class A burette.

Nicely made for the price and purpose. Not too difficult to clean out either if you use a little isopropyl shaken through it after running a little dish soap and warm water, then rinses it out a few times. It's nice to have a buret that can be safely whipped around. Never going to be the same as a glass one due to oils not sticking to glass the way they can or will to plastic, but this is a good piece of equipment. The stopcock works well.

Bought this to chamber the heads on an engine I am building. It works fine, no problems. Good that it is plastic, safer for the shop environment.
