TEMCo TH0374- SDS PLUS shank 5/8" Bore Forged Ground Rod Driver

I have pounded plenty of grounding rods, first with a sledgehammer and then with a fence post pounder. The fence post pounder was a great improvement but still hard work. This tool turns my SDS hammer drill into a power tool for installing grounding rods. Simply select the hammer only setting on the drill and hammer away.

Not sure what kind of hammer drill would work to drive a 8 foot ground rod.My bosch could not drive the rod deeper then 2 feet. Had to resort to back to sledge hammer.Not the tools problem.

I read the reviews and was a little worried about a few that indicated the tool could not be removed after driving the rod. I did put a little grease in the tool before driving my rods and had no problem sliding it off after driving the rod. The 5/8" steel rods I used were beveled by the manufacturer which also helped prevent mushrooming. I am extremely happy with the tool.

Not quite as good but way better bang for the buck than Hilti.

I used this product to drive a grounding rod into the ground. Worked perfectly.

Had some ground rods to install to in a tight space no much room for a hammer, this did the trick.

Used to drive a threaded rod; Dimensions are accurate and the configuration ensured that the threads were not rounded over. No issue getting a bolt onto the rod once it had been driven into the ground. Added to our tool kit for future use.
