and my mind is just blown by the wealth of smart and useful information available
I am not even finished with the book yet, and my mind is just blown by the wealth of smart and useful information available. Sara is very clear in what she says, and her ideas (and believe me when I say there are ideas on every single page) are invaluable. It has already challenged me to step up my game as a dancer and instructor and to make things more exciting and useful for my students. I taught for someone elseโs studio for several years, and recently branched off to work independently. This book is definitely serving as a guiding light on my journey!

Very useful for this new teacher!
This book was very helpful for getting myself organized and prepared for teaching my first beginner belly dance classes. I've been dancing for 13 years and just started teaching this week. From making sure you have a properly stocked dance bag, to structuring classes, to preparing you for the inevitable "concentration faces" that your beginners make (she was right - they don't look like they're having fun at all!), this book definitely got me off on the right foot. I think I will find myself referring to this book regularly as I progress as a teacher. Thank you for such a well thought-out resource!

Teaching Belly Dance Teacher's Manual
"Teaching Belly Dance" is a nice book. It has relevant material for teaching belly dance for new teachers and some ideas for those who have been teaching for 20 or 30 years. It is worth having as a reference.

Comprehensive Guide to Teaching Belly Dance
Sara covers a lot of ground in this book -- all of it valuable to both new and experienced instructors! As someone who's been teaching for a few years, I didn't expect to find it as helpful as I do. Sara shares many great ideas for structuring and promoting classes, as well as planning events, shows, workshops... name it. Wonderful resource for anyone who is teaching or training to teach bellydance classes!

Very useful tips on teaching and organizing. I am currently re-reading as I prepare to teach classes again after a year's hiatus. I think that this book is a good foundation for any teacher. Sara's writing is clear and concise, and the book is well organized and laid out.

This is a must for anyone planning to teach belly dance! I am preparing to take over for my teacher who will be retiring in the fall. There was even a section on transitioning from student to teacher. An incredibly valuable resource!
