Loud, sharp sound. Light, with no jiggling of a metal ball. A real pro-whistle. I bought this for recess playground work. The sharp sound is similar to little boys and girls screaming.... kids don’t respond to this whistle unless they are in sports. It’s a sports whistle.

Its so hi pitched id need earplugs to continuously use it. The feel and functionality of this whistle are excellent. Can easily make several quick blasts with little effort which is what i needed. But i wish this worked with a lower pitch. I needed it for music and was able to import a .wav file of what i needed instead. Go figure, tried to go old school and ended up electronic. Keep whistle for possible emergency situation, or dog training.

This little whistle is awesome enough to get me to log on to Amazon and actually post a review! It has a high pitched LOUD crisp report. Sounds like a basketball referee whistle. I read the negative reviews about it not being loud or flimsily built - that's crazy! Some folks are apparently trying to sell another brand of whistle.

Whistle is exactly as described, shipping was fast. This is a pretty loud plastic whistle which I purchased to whistle to call my 5 dogs in from our large yard. It worked first time I tried it!!! Love the soft mouthpiece.

I teach k-2 PE, so I was looking for something that demands attention. I had a fox whistle b4 this and loved it. This whistle shrills when you blow it, which startles everybody in ear shot. I used this for 1 hour before the lanyard broke. I pulled it toward me and it just snapped. I have continued to use just the whistle. The rubber piece is nice if you chew on your whistle ( I do). All in all this serves my needs, but I don't see it as a permanent solution. 3 stars for functionality.

I have recess duty and I really don't need to use my voice any more than I have to. This has been a great whistle. It is sturdy (2 of my previous fell apart in my teacher bag), LOUD, and light. I am very happy.

I use Gladiour Whistle in swim practices every day in a humid swimming pool environment. I am excited by the effectiveness of the pea less design, because all previous whistles (ball based) have failed that the most awkward times. THANKS
