Savane Men's Hiking Cargo Shorts (Size 32-44)

While trying to up my husband's shorts game for summer we've had some hits and misses. This pair is a hit. The fabric is substantial and should last a very long time. The pockets are plentiful, which guys tend to love in casual shorts. I like that they are mostly secured with Velcro, which is not only an important feature for keeping important items secure, but also deters pickpocketing in crowded places due to the sound of Velcro being handled.The fit is flattering on my husband, and the shorter inseam length works really well for his body type. There's one odd feature in that the back of the shorts have a flat waistband, while there's elastic in the front. Usually it's the other way around. The shorts feature belt loops, and when he's wearing them out for a full day of errands or going to an event, that will help keep them in place on his waist without sagging. This pair is well thought out and constructed to last.

I use to buy these from Sams. Sams motto, all good things must come to and end and they did.I have been working in these shorts for several years . I do construction work.They hold up very well, have deep strong pockets and are very comfortable. The back pockets close with velcro not buttons. The velcro still holds in the oldest pair I have.I bought what I thought was similar shorts from Bass Pro when I could no longer get these at Sam's. They were not as comfortable and I really did not like them.I was over ecstatic when I saw these on Amazon. I couldn't believe it. I bought one pair just to make sure they were like ones I had bought from Sam's.They were, so I ordered 6 more pair. They are strong enough to work in but nice enough to were anywhere you would wear shorts.

I bought these shorts to replace other Savane shorts...that were over 10 years old. They last almost forever. They're comfortable, washable and the stone-colored ones go with almost everything. I recommend them.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My husband likes these shorts for their durability & pockets & because they "make his legs look good"My only problem with the garment is all the plastic & paper attached to it. There are at least 10 small holes on seams & pockets - and the reason I bought these was because the pocket on his old one became frayed & wore out. MUST the seller apply so many pieces of cardboard attached by plastic gun?

I've been on the lookout for nice cargo shorts for my husband for everyday wear. These are nice enough to be seen in public but not too dressy and he doesn't have to wear a belt if he doesn't want to. He really likes the texture, too. They're soft but with sturdy construction and just the right number of pockets.

I got 3 pairs of these shorts. I'm still wearing my old Savane shorts after 4 years. These are the only shorts I will buy.

built for pocket nonuse and young men. Older men tend to be bulkier which when wallet goes in side pocket, difficult to retrieve, and while wearing, difficult to repocket. Add the same flaw when speaking of the iPhone. Need a lot more room, and better grade of elastic waistband.
