Heavens to Betsy! Where has this been all my life!!?
I'm seriously having to calm myself down every time I remember what's like taking this thing out "for a run!"I sort of realized after I purchased it from the line of products this company carries that it seems to geared towards professional photographers so I'm not sure when I thought it would be an asset for a layperson like me, but I sure glad I did.In the con column is the big thing of "it took me a while to get how to use it", and by a long time, I mean I should've not been multitasking when I read the manual. You need to sit down, plug in the product to a charger as soon as you receive it, then start reading. There are instructions for how to get the product to its "ready-to-use" state and then how to put it back to its "storage" state, and then there are instructions for how to operate the device.Which reminds me, you will need to download the "moza" app as indicated in the manual, also, in the beginning, and then pair it with your phone before first use. After the gimbal (I'm not a 100% it's a real word!) is charged and loosened into a "ready-to-use" state, and the app is primed, you can mount your phone, turn it on, and begin exploring and simultaneously blow your mind away! It's so cool, if you're doing a selfie, for example, there is a function that has it "trained" to keep the focus on you no matter how much you move, there is a professional setting that takes advantage of the myriad of pro features your phone might have, and you can take pictures or videos, or both at the same time! There is a sport mode, and some modes I haven't even begun to understand, and what's more, it's not just a handheld gimbal, it comes with a sweet small tripod that you can use, as well.I haven't been more excited about something as I am about this thing. The second I figured out how to operate it and how to move it up and down, it was a game-changer! It's so worth the price, so helpful providing quality "service" and, for me, skyrocketing the quality of my videos. Plus, it's SO much fun to use! There are even instructions on how to calibrate it, should you need to now or in the future. Calibrate it! So cool! It's made of seriously quality material, durable, comes with a bag to help carry it around, and it is lightweight and carry-around-able, plus, you can use it to charge your phone simultaneously. There's nothing not to love! Highly recommend it!

From 2 Stars to 5 Stars...
I was excited to take this gimble on a 30 day vacation. It worked fine with my older LG Stylo 4 but would not work with my new LG Stylo 5 (which has a much better camera). However, it would not communicate via bluetooth and on occasion did not seem to hold a charge as long as it should. So, I just used my camera manually on the Mini S. This was certainly not what I was expecting and I was disappointed in that. I tried numerous suggestions to make it connect...but nothing ever worked. So from bad to worse... Several months later it stopped charging and was completely dead. Obviously my unit had problems from day one.Obviously I was well past the Amazon 30 day return window so via Amazon I reached out to the seller (Moza). Their response was within a few hours. At their request I provided them a video showing what the unit was doing (or NOT doing). They provided great communication and offered to replaced my defective unit with a new one. It has a one year warranty and I was at the 9 month mark. My replacement arrived in a few days. Excellent. This was a win-win. The replacement unit works flawlessly with my newer phone. I am pleased with everything about the Mini S. It is small, lightweight and fairly straightforward to use. Battery life is impressive. I did remove the upper and lower foam cushion pads on the phone holder. This allowed the clamp arms to safely grab and hold my phones case. It also seemed to move my phone forward a tiny bit and this helped greatly with balancing the camera on the gimble.I am very pleased with my Moza Mini S. The customer service was great and now my video clips look very smooth and professional. Thanks!

Good Unit (& a Small Step Up from the VlogPocket)
Overall: pretty good all-rounder for light-duty "selfie"-style vlogging.Due to circumstances, I upgraded from the Feiyu VlogPocket to this one, hoping to notice an experiential improvement. And it was that, to a small degree. They're both similar enough to be considered product piers, but the Moza Mini S definitely has a slight leg up over the Feiyu when it comes to mechanical features. The app, though, isn't noticeably better; they're identical, practically speaking, in their in-app photo & video features. After a short time with the unit, I still wasn't quite feeling my needs were being met in terms of the type of smart-phone shooting I sought to do. So, when I saw the unit start to do some weird things (as other units have - a common theme, sadly), I opted to return it & take yet another step up to a slightly larger gimbal. But, all-in-all, I do think the price isn't bad for what Moza gives you with the Mini S.

Not suitable for real estate home tours
Purchased to create video tour of a large single family rental. I found it unsuitable and returned it (second return). The first unit I received failed to hold my Moto G6 Plus level (total weight 197.3 grams, well under the stated max). So images were always canted to the right. The second unit, shortly after being put into action, would suddenly collapse while still recording. Even without those mechanical issues, the biggest problem I had was a lack of a pause button while recording. Because it was nearly impossible to avoid sudden movements of the gimbal when using the "return to default position", I had to shoot short snippets and then try to stich them together using Windows' video editor, a tedious and ultimately unsuccessful effort. I shall continue to just use my phone to shoot videos and save myself a lot of time and avoid frustration. This may be a good tool if you just want to shoot long, uninterrupted videos, but the software (Moza Genie), and thus the usability of the device, would be much improved if Moza would simply program in the ability to pause rather than always stopping, recording.
