Sheaffer Skrip Fountain Pen Classic Ink Cartridge - Deluxe Blue (five per card)

What is there to say this Sheaffer still makes their classic Blue fountain pen ink like they have been doing for decades. I recently finished a gallon bottle of vintage Sheaffer Skrip Blue ink that I purchased many years ago and the color of that ink and the color of the ink in this pack of ink cartridges is nearly identical and given the number of years that bottle of ink was open I find that rather amazing. That all said I have always liked Skrip Blue because it is such a well behaved and consistent ink. I am two one of those people who writes and signs formal correspondence in a custom Green-Black ink color and all my informal correspondence in Skrip Blue. On a side note one of the things that I like about Sheaffer /Skrip ink cartridges over the now de facto standard of the (short) international cartridge is ink capacity.

Purchased for my husband fountain pens and he said they fit well and were easy to place in his fountain pen.

The ease with which these cartridges go into the pen is amazing. They are worth every penny. The ink flows so smoothly and dries so quickly it’s hard to believe. They fit like they were made for the pen.

It's worth noting that on cheaper paper, there was some bleed-through observed. Despite these minor drawbacks, the pack presents an appealing option for fountain pen enthusiasts seeking a range of expressive and captivating ink colors. The colors included were blue, black, red, purple, and green.A helpful tip is that if the pen doesn't start working right after inserting the refill, you may need the clean the nib. I soaked the nib in water for a few hours, thoroughly dried all the parts, and then reassembled it. Then it was working like magic!

GIVEN THAT I'M APPROACHING MIDDLE AGE, I HARKEN BACK TO MY EARLY SCHOOL DAYS WHEN STUDENTS USED FOUNTAIN OR DIP PENS ON A REGULAR BASIS. RECENTLY I'VE BEGUN USING A FOUNTAIN PEN TO WRITE OUT MOST EVERYTHING THAT NEEDS A COMMENT, A GRADE OR A PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE. IT'S FUN AND IT GIVES ME A CHANCE TO IMPROVE MY CURSIVE FORM OF WRTING, WHICH WAS NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT BACK IN THE DAY. AS A PERSONAL OPINION I'M TRULY SHIOCKED THAT MANY SCHOOLS NO LONGER TEACH CURSIVE WRITING. YOUNGSTERS I'VE RECENTLY MET HAVE ASKED A PERSON OLDER THAN THEMSELVES TO READ A MESSAGE IN CURSIVE, BECAUSE THEY CANNOT. THE SHEAFFER INK CARTRIDGES THAT I BOUGHT WORK VERY WELL AND THE SHADE OF INK ON PAPER IS QUITE SATISFACTORY. BY THE WAY, I'VE ALSO MET KIDS WHO CANNOT TELL TIME FROM AN ANALOG CLOCK.
