Like Asian Decor Items? You'll Like This Waving Cat.
Maneki Neko arrived yesterday, but it took about a month to get here from China. No flaws/breakage. Colorful. Substantial looking. One gets exactly what the description says one will get such as no battery compartment cover. Therefore, that wasn't an unpleasant surprise. Waving apparatus works fine. Really like the red pillow it sits on, which may help keep the batteries in place. I don't ascribe to the belief in this artifact's powers to bring wealth, happiness, health or anything else "lucky", but this item intrigued me. I have it sitting on a glass shelf above my computer desk. One thing I added to it is I painted the abacus beads white to make them more well-defined and detailed. Give it four out of five stars for the time it took to get here and for the abacus beads.

Quality over cheap plastic
I’ve always been a fan of the Oriental lucky cat found in many shops overseas. Most are cheap plastic (is that redundant?) and not a fit for the other nice items I’ve collected overseas over the years. I ordered this one here on Amazon in hopes it would be nicer. What a great surprise to find it was gorgeous while maintaining the hand movement (aimed at my front door, stay out evil). I can recommend this as something with the appearance of quality.

Grand Opening Gift
Item arrived securely packaged. This was given as a gift for a grand opening of a business. The owners loved it. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lucky cat.

Nice product
My only complaints are that the Lucky Cat was not new (no cover for the batteries) and was not actually porcelain. Otherwise, it is in good shape and beautiful.

Nice kitty cat
Bought for my restaurant. It is a nice size cat , makes it visible from anywhere in the restaurant and is a nice quality unlike the other many cheap ones that I have bought in the past. Customers get a kick out of a waving cat. The kids love to rub his belly for good luck or give him high fives. As for it being lucky and bringing in money to business, only time will tell. Overall very satisfied.
