I laid out for 1 hour (30 mins front/back)...UV index 9, temp 88F, humidity 60%. I don't tan super easy until it gets going and did have a bit of a base tan already but am now a couple shades darker...not burned or red (I always lay out with a spray bottle of water and keep myself misted so water was involved as well). More than I expected for 1 hour of sun (I normally do 45-60 mins on each side but it's HOT out today...we're actually in a heat advisory right now). It does leave color on clothes...haven't washed my swim suit yet so not sure if it stains. Smells OK (doesn't stink...I just prefer tropical/coconut fragrance in my tanning lotions/gels/sprays). It is kinda oily...not baby oil oily but more so than dry oil tanning sprays. It left my skin feeling hydrated, silky and smooth. Over all I like it and plan to continue using.Oh...and the spatula...it's useless and looks more like an eyebrow than a spatula. I'm not sure how you would even use it. I only purchased with the spatula because it was cheaper than without.

I purchased a jar of Carroten Tanning Gel and I absolutely LOVE it! I am very fair skinned, but come Spring, I start to try and get a tan, but I am so pale that I burn easily in the beginning but then it settles in and I tan, but I can never get dark without some kind of help from various products, I can never really dark. With baited breath, I looked for my old favorite Bain' De Soleil but sadly, they discontinued it, I know, I know, it was a product that I used in the 80's but man that stuff was great, and that made me so sad, but then I got a suggestion from Amazon for the Carroten Intensive Tanning Gel. After reading the reviews, and after some research, people even mentioned that it was like the Bain' De Soleil, minus the SPF 4 and I knew that I had to try it and ordered a jar of Carroten Intensive Tanning Gel and wow, the first day, I had stripes, I was red, don't get me wrong, but I was also a darker color than I could've ever gotten with any other product, and faster, other than getting a fake spray tan. Carroten Intensive Tanning Gel has no SPF factor so keep that in mind because you will burn if you're not careful, but in the long run, I got a deeper, darker tan than I ever could have on my own. I highly recommend the Carroten Intensive Tanning Gel, just know that it is greasy and it will get on your clothes so make sure you wear a T-shirt that you don't care about, but definitely try this, go slowly, and you won't regret it.

I was skeptical when I first ordered this. I had seen a review for it online that intrigued me, so I took a chance and ordered it. I'm so glad I did. This stuff really does help to get you tan quickly. It's my new go to for the summer. You do need to be careful to rub it in thoroughly, as it will get on your swimsuit or towel, but it also washes out (in my experience, anyway). I really love it. A little goes a ling way too, so the tub should last you for a while, which is good since its a bit more costly than regular suntan lotion. Definitely worth the extra $ though.

I recently tried the Carroten Intensive Tanning Gel, and overall, I’m impressed! The gel has a smooth texture that applies evenly and absorbs quickly, which made it easy to use. The scent is pleasant, and I didn’t experience any streaking, which is always a bonus with tanning products.I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a natural, buildable tan. Just be patient—this one works best when you give it a few days to develop!

Having extremely fair skin means that I have to be pretty calculated with my tanning. Especially because I do not want to damage my skin. With that being said I still ALWAYS desire to be as dark as I can in the summer and man this stuff is good. If you are fair complected as well here are my recommendations: 1. Ensure you have a base tan. As you can see from my first photo there is already a difference I have worked up over 3 different sessions outside before I tried this product. And they had some element of SPF in it. 2. Put sunscreen on areas you know you tend to burn more easily UNDER this product. For me I did my face, chest, and shoulders.I was outside for a total of an hour and a half and had flipped between sides 2 times. I didn’t burn because of the steps I followed, and I am super happy about the results. It’s also very hydrating when it’s rubbed in and doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy like the Hawaiian tropic tanning oil (which used to be my go to) definitely excited to keep using this during the summer!

I would give this stuff five stars...but I'm terrified to. I'm a person who tans pretty easily, and once I get going for the season, I DON'T burn. I thought I'd give this stuff a try to kick-start the season. This photo is of me after applying the gel (which has a lovely smell and consistency, by the way) and lying in the sun for about 20 minutes. So yeah, IT WORKS. But maybe too well?? Maybe I should have started the season with my normal routine of gradually increasing my sun exposure before using this stuff. And then once I was out of the burn zone, I could use it. I might try that once this burn heals.

OMGoodness, I love this stuff. First, it makes your skin super soft, second, it gives it a beautiful shimmer glow (I think you can buy this without the shimmer but I like the light sparkle so mine had shimmer) It smells so nice but its not overpowering and it's not like a typical tanning product smell, if you know what I mean. Its waterproof so if you put it on and get in the pool, it wont wash off right away but you will need to reapply after a few hours in the water. I tan indoors and by the pool so I would say this is mostly for outdoor tanning but I would use it in a tanning bed in a pinch. It even comes with a little spatula for easy application so you don't have to dig your nails in the product.
