Larger than expected or needed
The book has a lot of information - I was however looking a small guide book that would fit in my small purse....over 500 pages. I may send it back.

Great guidebook, bad Kindle interface
The Kindle interface on my Mac is just awful. No page numbers, no index, and maps can't be enlarged. The chapter links in the table of contents don't work. Much better to purchase a PDF or EPUB version.

The perfect travel guides - Rough Guides
The Rough Guides speak my travel language. While waiting for their new guide to Morocco to be published I got a couple other travel guides to Morocco. They were good, but I was not really able to plan my trip until my Rough Guide arrived. Something about the writing, the priorities and the advice of the authors fit me just right. I always want to travel with Rough Guides as my source.I am an adventurous traveler. Prefer the road less traveled, and like to find hidden treasures. I travel low budget, but I like that the Rough Guides offer different budget options, in case I'm ready for a more upscale experience along the way.Recommended!

Looking to travel to Morocco in the next few months ...
Looking to travel to Morocco in the next few months but didn't have any set itinerary. This book provided valuable information on what is truly necessary to know and see while there. There is nothing I've come across about Morocco that isn't in this book.

Not as easy to find essential information
Very comprehensive information as indicated in the volume of this book. However, a bit disorganized. Not as easy to find essential information, such as buses schedule, how to get to places......

Okay but very poor on transport, the dangers and hassle.
The book covers the basics, but to be honest, there's little that you can't find with a quick Google. The thing that is most important to me is travel using public transport, and on that it's really really weak. There are too many vague statements about where buses and grand taxis leave from, for example, and the maps are bordering on useless. The text on their maps requires a magnifying glass, and are often so close to the inner spine of the book that they are useless. The text on pages is only a little better.Morocco is an interesting place to visit if you are well travelled. But at times, it seems like everyone and their relative is out to scam you with one sting or another. Places like Marrakesh, Tangier, Fes especially are full of people approaching you all the time, often quite aggressively and sometimes in groups, trying to spin some yarn to get money out of you, but the guide glosses over this. It fails to offer advice that might keep you safe in this often unsafe country. It's not expensive so probably worth the money, but it's not one of their classics by a long way.

Generally good informative guide
I normally buy lonely planet but opted for this guide, as I already bought the pocket book guide to Marrakech. It’s easy to use and I found it pretty accurate. The guide isn’t a comprehensive total guide to Morocco it misses out so many places but I suppose it would be a huge guide if they did that. My one gripe is that I often found the descriptions erring on the negative side at times. It’s one thing to be direct but some of the comments border on being rude and too scathing for my liking. It felt as if I was reading a description written on the authors bad day or mood swing. Not necessary and not very pleasant or inspiring to read.

Very useful
I like the Rough Guides. They are so informative. We bought this along with a highly recommended 'Frommers Guide' (now out of print as it's now an on-line guide).Useful information about salaries and tipping. It would be very easy to tip too much, if you don't know. It also helps knowing what an average salary is when you come to barter.

Excellent
I found this excellent. We visited Marakesh and found it very useful both for Marrakesh and as a background to Morocco as a whole

Ideal for single travellers!
Very detailed and comprehensive. Still relevant and up to date. Extremely helpful for a single female traveller like myself (as it explains customs, how to stay safe, how to be respectful ect)
