While it feels well-made overall, the foot switch on this thing makes the loudest *POP-CLICK* I've ever heard on any pedal...It sounds like a pistol If that doesn't make you cringe, wait until you hear the sound that comes out of it...It will clear a room real quick.In the end, it's more of a distortion pedal than a "boost" pedal.

The Jet City Hi-Gain Boost. To start this pedal is pretty fantastic. With the name like Hi-gain boost, youve gotta be expecting some, well, Hi-gain. All the way down the pedal has the sound of an amp on the Overdrive setting at aprroximately 11 or 12 o clock. Keep going and man. Its literally a gain pedal all on its own. Words cannot describe how metal it can get. If you need some high gain tone for a singke channel amp, or a mini amp that doesnt have the best Overdrive channel, this little thing is the way to go.

thins out my tone, gives no boost and extreme amount of feed back. don't even no what this would be used for???

I can't believe this pedal got a bad rating.... This is a wild, Metal, in your face distortion. what do you think HI-GAIN stands for. if you are looking for a pretty clean boost look somewhere else. if you are looking to melt faces this pedal kicks other distortions out of the way!I love it, it's always nasty and loud and can feedback... go figure. But this pedal Rocks, 'nuf said
