There's nothing very elegant about a paper shredder - we just want to know that it shreds paper like it claims. And this one does that.The Bonsaii will accept up to a maximum of 6 pages at a time, and it claims to have no trouble digesting paper clips (which I've always had to remove with other shredders). Note that a folded piece of paper counts as two sheets! It will also shred credit cards. The feed opening is sized to take letter-size paper, short side first, and while I've seen people feed pages crooked, that puts a strain on the motor and cutters and may result in a jam. So try to feed paper where the shredder doesn't have to twist and fold the paper to take it in.I find the unit has plenty of power to handle normal shredding loads. I keep mine on "Auto" so it's on standby for me to feed paper to it as needed, and it works well.The shredder bin has a clear window to indicate the level of shredded paper, and you should empty it when it gets near full. Otherwise it might interfere with paper passing through the shredder head and cause a jam. Note that the shredder head must be installed on top of the bin to operate, as it has an interlock switch for safety. Also, it comes with a handy handle to help in lifting and moving the shredder head, a really nice feature.For home or small office use, this shredder should be entirely adequate. If you need more, or need one with wheels to move around an office, Bonsaii has larger models. This one gets all 5 stars from me!

Compact size but holds a lot since it shreds into tiny square pieces. Best feature is the HANDLE making it easy to remove the shredder top and empty the trash can. Thick or laminated credit card offers haven’t been a problem. I do separate the envelope and other parts without personally identifiable info and shred one page at a time. Perfect fit to set between my chair and lamp table. Easy to setup, a bit loud, you would definately hear it across the room, but it's just the size we wanted. The basket fills up pretty quickly if you're doing a lot of disposal shredding, so pay attention to the view window to see level of shredded paperwork.We are satisfied with the efficiency and speed of shredding, but it slows down if you put too much in at one time, so we settled on 3 sheets of paper at a time. It's small, but perfect for small places .We have only been using them for a few days, but so far they have worked exactly like we need them to.We are pleased with our purchase, and the price we paid for the convenience of having chair-side disposal.So far, so good..

This shredder works great. It can handle 6 pages at a time with small standard staples. It is noisy during operation like all shredders. It perfect for a home office. I’ve yet to have it go into “cool down” mode. If you’re trying to get caught up, it will take you some time. On this unit the hopper is small so be prepared to empty it often. I do recommend it.

Review is for a Bonsaii C237-8 paper shredder. The low price of this Bonsaii and reviews faulting it for overheating and shutting down caused me to hesitate making the choice. This shredder replaced a different brand that did over heat and shut down until it cooled off with home use. I realized with those faults my old shredder lasted over 30 years. So much for hesitation. This new Bonsaii C237-8 is preforming well. I have kept continuous shredding use under 3 minutes per manufacture's instructions. No over heating experienced. It works as it should. A good low priced shredder.
