Life Arts Personalised Indra Leather Refillable Journal Black, A5 (15x21cm) Plain

This has just arrived and it's absolutely STUNNING.Out of all the things I've ordered I was dreading this the most incase it was a disappointment, but my word it was not.I'm an artist and designer so even things like packaging matter and this did not let me down. It arrived in a beautiful little drawstring cotton bag with attractive type on the front and when I opened it the smell of real leather was delicious. Beautifully wrapped round with a long thin stand of leather, it opens up to good quality paper and if it wasn't a present for someone special, I'd be grabbing my pen to start drawing straight away (I always draw in pen). Lastly, why people complain about the size when it's exactly the size it states I don't know. Just get to know what A6 is and you'll understand it's the correct size. in fact, in my opinion this little travel drawing book is just PERFECT in every way. Thank you to Life Arts. Tiggy

Definitely worth buying, makes a lovely gift as it comes in a really nice gift box. Lovely handmade product, perfect size and plenty of pages to doodle or write on. I even personalised the bookmark using pyrography tool too!Would recommend purchasing!

I ordered this as an anniversary gift for my Husband and I am not disappointed. I didn't want anything too big as I wanted it to be easy to move around, something that could easily fit in a bag, or even a pocket and this works perfectly. I'm very pleased with the leather and fastening strap, it has a great rustic and ethnic feel to it that would be liked by both men and women. The paper is tightly secured in and looks easy enough to write on. The only odd thing was that the gift bag it came in had some sand in it, not sure if this was from the paper, but the book required a bit of a dusting down and the bag a shaking out. Other than that the book makes a beautiful gift and is of excellent quality. I'm considering ordering in a few more to dish out as gifts and have also added the larger version to my own wishlist so that I can use it as a travel journal.

This is a beautifully packaged and well presented item. The quality is lovely and made a perfect gift for my wife’s birthday. She absolutely loves it and uses it daily for her journal and small drawings etc. The pen makes a nice addition too which is also very nice. All in all a great buy. Well worth the money.

It’s not cheap if you want an every day note book but this is not an every day note book. It’s one you’ll keep forever either as a journal or something to record important information.It’s a stunning well made book and the pages are thick yet soft fabric style. Gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend it and will buy another when I need it.

Having previously had similar hand made journals I thought this one would be perfect for a four month trip for jotting down notes, important information and the occassional thoughts. So far it has worked well and the build quality is excellent. The only thing I would caution though is to use a ruler and check the size is right for you. This is exactly what I did and I feel it slips right into my pocket quite nicely. If your after something small and handy, this is the journal/notebook for you.

Wanted to start writing a journal, part autobiography, part philosophy and opinions on life so I purchased this. It's a cool little leather journal and the paper inside is a lovely material. The paper is fixed to the leather and in 3 sections so you can theoretically divide it into 3 seperate sections to write in.

This quality of this journal is very nice and the size is brilliant for diary-work or travel notes and personally I love the way the cotton pages feel. It may be also worth noting that the journal pages come in 3 sets which are bound at the spine as opposed to a single larger set of pages. On inspection is seems you would be able easily refill the journal by untying the string and simply rethreading a new set of paper.The cover however, doesn't necessarily match up with the images. In life the journal seems more worn and rugged which gives a sense of age (as opposed to a fresh out-of-a-factory hardback journal); it could simply be due to the nature of the soft leather or the hand-made aspect of the journal that gives the leather a more rustic feel. Furthermore the cord seems to serve little more than a decorative purpose. It largely fails at holding the journal together unless you either don't touch it or use an intricate knot but nonetheless, it still serves as a nice aesthetic tool!Overall a lovely journal but perhaps not quite as pristine as you may expect from the pictures above.
