Bought this system to do the front porch of my mountain house. The only real problem I had was on one of the crimps, the sliding bolt that locks the crimp bits in place (separate purchase from Muzata) wasn't seated well (you have to keep opening and closing back the tool for each crimp) and when I jacked down on the crimp handles, the hydraulic power on the tool bent one of the iron arm that holds the sliding bolt. I had to extract the bolt, put the tool against a rock and whack it back in line with a hammer. Worked well enough then for me to finish the job. The cable cutter worked fine for the entire job, making clean cuts. Double crimped all ends and by the end of the day just this small job made my wrists throb. This cable system is simple, clean and forgiving.Very pleased with end result, just know this tool will give you a workout.

We have installed this railing according to MFG specification. We added cable stays @ 3 ft and we installed the cables at 2.5 inches. We have done everything possible to pass inspection @ a 4 inch gap.There is no way that this system is ever capable of a holding a 4 inch gap. It will stretch in a matter of minutes and will not pass an inspection. We have had the city out 4 times and the have told us that they will not pass our permit with this system. I now have to replace with wooden stays.This was a complete waste of several thousand dollars and hundreds of hours.I will never again buy a Muzata product.

I bought over $900 worth of material; cables, SS Lag screws, etc. good sturdy product, why not send a handy wrench to turn and tune the Lag Screws, 1/8 " area pressed on Lag Screw for turning needs a special; wrench [liers and such damages the surface of the Lag Screws.

Really opens up the backyard. Hated the look of the deck on my new place. After some sanding, staining and the stainless railing I love it.

Impressed with the quality of this kit. Only downfall is you have to buy a crimping tool which can get pricey. Great look to the final product.
