Cute and very effective iron
Unique and cute, comes with a very long cord and a holder for when it’s hot. Steams very well and works well on every piece of clothes with good temperature gauge. This was a good buy and will last very long.

You will want to iron just so you can use this baby
I had no idea what a good iron was until I spent a little money and purchased this. It is so great! It heats up super fast, irons incredibly well (I appreciate the weight so I don't have to press down too hard), doesn't get goopy (somehow, my old iron always got goop on it, which was a concern every time I had to use it due to the transfer concern), and shuts off automatically so you don't burn the house down. The steam function is fantastic -- no drippy water, just the right amount. Also, it looks really sleek -- like a serious piece of equipment. That's a minor point but these things are designed, and I appreciate the effort that was put into this one. I will leave it up to other reviewers to give a more in-depth analysis -- just wanted to put in my two cents based on decades of reluctant ironing until now.

Professional Level
Probably the Best Iron out there. Durability is there. The weight of it helps a lot because you don’t have to press it onto the fabric. You just let it Glide. The steam is strong! Professional level iron.. if you actually know how to use it properly.

Strong steam but water spray button broken
It has always been a dream to get the Rowenta steam iron since 2020. Finally got it. Steam quality is as advertised. There is some water leaking out the holes every once in a while ( but I prepared myself for it as I saw the complaints in the reviews). What i didn't expect was for the water spray button not to be working. It was easy to press and all I heard was air so I pressed it continuously to see if pressure had to build up before the water started spraying but no success. Btw the water tank was full at the time of this attempt. The button for the burst of steam was had a bit of resistance when pressing and it works fine so i guess that's how the spray button should have felt. I am disappointed that the spray button is broken. Also, i wished they gave a container that would make pouring the water in the iron easier.

Iron stopped heating
Lovely iron and it worked so nicely for 5-6 months. It stopped heating after that.

Used item in a new box (Issue was resolved by seller immediately)
I was sent a used iron in a new package. The water tank had moisture in it (could be from testing at the factory) , the chrome accents were scratched and it looks like someone wiped down the base plate with a sponge because there is residue all over it. Also in the package there is a card that should be attached to the base plate for protection and it was just thrown in the box.If it was just the moisture in the tank I wouldn't think anything of it because of the water tested sticker on the tank but the other issues don't give me any confidence that I didn't just get a repackaged returned item.I could be wrong in my assumptions and it may just be a product of a lazy worker in the testing group but Id rather not take my chances on something that has the ability to grievously harm the user if damaged.Update: I have updated to 5 stars because it is a great product and the issue was resolved immediately. I was sent a replacement the next day which did not have any of the above mentioned issues other than moisture in the tank from testing which isn't an issue. The iron itself works great and I could safely recommend this product now.

Just as great as I thought it would be!
I love Rowenta and this iron is great! With this iron, you don't even have to iron both sides of your clothing because the steam is strong enough to straighten the opposite side that you're ironing. The retractable cord is an added bonus too!

Don't make them like they used to
This the first new iron I purchased in 20 years. I had a Rowenta from 2001. It still worked but the steam mechanism was clogged for good. This iron is so much lighter than my old one. My first task was 16 sheer curtains. The light polyester fabric was easy to iron and the light weight of the iron was appreciated. I did have to turn the iron up to a much higher setting than the polyester setting.Next I ironed a set of cotton sheets. I never buy 100% cotton sheets but I thought I would try them. These came out of the wash a stiffly crumpled lump and needed to be ironed before I could use them again. I never ironed sheets before in my life and this was not an easy task. It is a queen set and I had the iron on the highest setting. I had to fill the water well 3 times before I completed the job. Filling is not recommended when the iron is hot but I didn't want to wait for the iron to cool. Is there an iron that fills easily? I don't know, but I dribble the water everywhere. I used only distilled water and I hate to waste it. It's not the price, it's having to go buy it. So back to ironing, this is where the light weight wasn't in my favor. It was a bear to remove the wrinkles from the cotton and I had to press down quite a bit. I have ironed cotton shorts with my old heavy iron without a problem but without comparing the same irons on the same fabric, I can't really say if the weight was the issue. My third experience was with a manmade fiber jacket purchased from one of those Chinese websites that arrives a mass of wrinkles in a plastic bag. I also had difficultly removing the wrinkles. I was now regretting throwing away my old iron. I would have gladly gone back to spraying the water from a bottle for steam. The retractable cord is a fantastic feature and the iron heats up quickly. I find myself accidentally moving the temperature dial as I iron because it's behind the handle and moves easily.I feel like they made advancements with the looks and retractable cord but have sacrificed the quality of materials and this reduces the functionality.
