I really like the clean look of this tamper. There's no inscription of the brand anywhere. The matte finish doesn't stand out either. The built quality is very good too. It's pretty well calibrated at around 30-32 lbs. The tamping surface is flat with no dents. The handle has a very smooth finish, and you don't feel awkward to put pressure at all. I didn't want to take chance with the wood handle (from all the reviews of the cracks) and by the time I decided to purchase the tamper the wood version was no longer available so it was an easy choice. I think I would've chosen the aluminum version anyways.

Perfect, does exactly what it's supposed to and looks good doing it. I'm pouring much more consistent shots than I was without this. Now I want the matching bottomless portafilter.

Great tamper but with an issue. The tamper pressure based upon how tightly you screw the bottom to the handle. The tighter its screwed on the more pre-load on the spring making it harder to press down which results in more tamp pressure. The problem is that now there is so much tension you cannot loosen it... still a great tamper just don't over tighten it.

I don’t know how I got along without this. Very powerful spring allows consistent tamping pressure. It just feels right in my hand; imust weigh nearly a pound.

Really easy to use and takes the guesswork out of the equation when trying to figure out how hard to pack espresso in the portafilter. Additionally, this 53mm tamper makes it even easier and neater to tamp grounds in a 54mm portafilter. No more grounds being pushed out of the portafilter, making the entire process even better.

This tamper gets it right all the time. Takes a few clicks to get used to but after that you’ll be pulling some off some great expressos in no time. The key is to push down one time and when you heat the click, release and polish off. Thats it. Happy tamping
