Nice Aluminum channel, the milky cover will NOT reduce dots!
They work well for the purpose I purchased them for, the covers a flimsy but sturdy enough. They do not however diffuse the dots well, I don't think that's an advertised feature, just mentioning it for those hoping to achieve that. I held a strip with and without diffuser under a cabinet to see if the dots would reflect on the smooth concrete floors and it was pretty much identical with and without cover. If you want to mount these without the clips, you will need to drill holes in the channel. Wish the 2m ones were at a similar cost factor, but they seem to cost 4 time more than just double.

eh, it is what you expect
So, the install was pretty simple. I do not like the brackets they provide so I drilled a whole in the track and mounted it directly to the wall. we tried their brackets and the rails popped out too easy. So. That is one issue. The 3 ft long rails were a pain. Wish they had longer ( come to find out, they do). However the real complaint is the ad says it will disperse the light so it looks like one continues light and not individual lights. Which is exactly why I bought them. And, as you can see in the pics, not so much. The funy thing is I also ordered the SMOKED lens. Which the ad says will hide the lights when off. Um, NO, the SMOKE is a slight tint. SLIGHT. So, eh not so much.
