Poor quality!!!!
So I bought this alternator for a jeep i go off reading with. Within 200 miles it smoked. I knew my warranty was out so I took it apart. Two bolts were cross threaded and loose. I took a picture of one. It caused the diode to burn up in the rectifier. Total poor quality. Now it’s going to cost me 60.00 plus tax to buy a rectifier!! Believe me with inflation and groceries sky high I don’t have the cash for that. So take it for what it’s worth. This happened to me. I won’t do business ever with this company again. Poor workmanship.

under powered
so i bought this to replace my alternator on a 72' c20 it bolted straight up perfect the the sb350 so 9/10 on the fitment but the pulley was too large of a diameter so it wont charge unless im driving over 2k rpm and when it does it only goes up to around 12.8-13.1v this is a little weak and easily gets bogged down below 11.0v when running my accessories the old alternator would hold at 12.5v with everything on and sit at 13.8v for charging i have all incandecent lights and running ~1600w for the stereo plus and electric fan and water pump so my power demand is pretty high but 200 amps should have been more than enough i will be replacing soon for a proper mechman alternator but for the price and convenience i give it 3/5 it works but kinda sucks

Don’t buy this
The alternator was charging at lower voltage then originally expected. I bought this last year on may 30 and today it went out May 15 was expecting a year return policy atleast but nope ! I had it in a 72 caprice that was parked the whole winter and most of fall . This was never putting out 220 amp . Waste of money

Not as advertised.
The amperage output for this alternator is not as advertised. It does power the accessories better than the stock 35 amp alternator it replaced, but I was expecting an alternator that actually puts out peak 200 amps. This only puts out around120 or so when the engine is running at 2k rpm.Don't waste your money.I am very skeptical at how long this alternator is actually going to last. With the stereo on, headlights, heater fan, and the radiator fan on it heats up a LOT. I am fully expecting it to fail at some point with a full internal melt down this summer. Right now ambient temps are sufficient to help it shed waste heat, this summer though will probably be a different matter. It's working for the moment and I need my vehicle so I'm not able to send it in for a return.I fully intend to get a high amperage alternator that actually puts out the advertised amperage in the spring.
