Look you have to understand that this is what it is... and that is a PART of a solution to minimalize the negative acoustic factors in a space (echoing, feedback, external noise.) That being said, I still utilize this in a walk-in closet where I allow the clothing to be a part of the solution. My testing certainly indicates that this isolation shield/stand DOES HELP however particularly with regards to echo reduction. For my current home studio needs it does the job. It is portable enough to (carefully) move it from my main studio space to my closet when needed. I will say that it is quite well built and very effectively supports my Blue Yeti microphone and pop filter, as well as all of my condenser mics. Occasionally I choose to suspend the microphones rather than mounting them upright... no problems here at all. Just invert the shield on the stand and it works perfectly! At $119.00 this was a very cost effective tool to help improve the sound of my recordings. It is not a whisper room substitute and not meant to be. I would quantify it as a reasonably effective noise suppression tool. I am quite satisfied!

This product was exactly what we were looking for. We had a set up with a mic but wasn't tall enough and didnt have an isolation shield.The stand and shield shipped quickly and was cheaper than anything else we looked at.I'm only giving it 2 stars because it arrived damaged as you can see from the photos. It's all scratched up on the right side.As far as the stand goes it seems to be simple to use and tall enough for my 6"6 husband which isn't always easy. I am unhappy about it coming damage but at this point I dont have the time to wait for another one.We did a quick sound check and the shield seems to be working properly.it feels very heavy duty.

This stand is well built and does the job in minimizing background noise. Very impressed. Have it in the corner of my little studio.

The item is perfect for what I need. I produce audiobooks, and needed something like this since I don't have a great area for recording. It works perfectly.

Sound absorbtion is great. Tried it out with a couple different mics. The stand is extremely durable. The only reason I gave it 3 stars, is because the "mic holder" won't securely stay supported and I can't attach a microphone to it safely. It seems I've gotten a different attachment piece than what is shown in the assemble instructions. The middle "nut" stays attached perfectly with out the mic holder there, but once I try to attach it, it just doesn't give enough room to stay attached to it. Anyone else have this problem?Update: I contacted the original seller and they sent me out a whole new one for free

This thing is a beast! It is so well made and perfect for my recording project I am working on. Even the pop filter is very durable and well constructed! This product came in two boxes and neither was dent or damaged. I was worried to buy after reading some of the other reviews saying their product was damaged. The product areived 100% scratch free, and dent free! Such a great buy and I am so stoked to use it! It works with my Scarlett solo mic that comes with the Scarlett recording studio.

I got the box and it was basically already opened, like the contents fell out...so, the packaging and/or handling during the delivery was horrible. I'm guessing, more the latter. I took it inside my music room and saw that it was definitely mishandled, because some of the wrapping was half off of it, then to my surprise, the back had finger prints all over it and a giant scratched up part. Thankfully, aesthetically, it still looks good since I don't have to look at it from behind. But it was definitely damaged, as you can see in the picture, it was really scratched up. Product-wise, it's amazing. It's stylish, looks pro, and way less expensive than completely foaming my music room up to acoustically treat it.
