Perfect size for my needs. Sturdy yet light weight. Great ladder

Very sturdy.

I'm about five feet tall and this ladder is PERFECT for me. Lighweight but feels very sturdy. I bought to clean the ceiling in my rental and it worked perfectly. I've been wanting my own smaller, lighter ladder for years and this is the one! I hate having to always ask my husband to reach things. This makes me feel much more self-sufficient. :)

It is rare that I rate with 5 stars, but I felt that this ladder was worth it. I'm 86 and a stable ladder is important to me.I had earlier purchased a similar-rated ladder from another well-known supplier but was sceptical of the quality. I weigh 215 lbs, so it was on the margin.The Louisville FS4004 fibreglass 4-foot ladder was clearly, more robustly-made and sturdier. Whilst the sides and rungs were of similar material, the extruded rungs were wider on the front and back The steel spreaders were thicker and wider and secured with a larger rivet. The rung bearings, both front and rear, were plastic, large and wide and contributed to good lateral support, which I could not say for the competitor, which used simple diagonal metal strips. The front and rear feet were large and made for larger footprint which contributed to a steadier stand.I couldn't find any Canadian supplier, so imported it myself. I paid $10 more than the 'other guy' but feel well-justified in doing so.

We needed this ladder in order to replace a ceiling light. I was skeptical about buying such a large, potentially heavy item on Amazon, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The whole process was easy, and the item arrived 100% intact, right on my door step!The ladder itself seems very sturdy and made the light installation a breeze. It's fairly light for its size, and we love the clever design of the top of the ladder, which has places to put tools and small items like screws.Overall, very pleased with our purchase!

Got the 4-ft version, a good ladder choice for college girls in an apartment. Allows them to change light bulbs on the porch and hang stuff on the walls, but not so large that it's difficult to haul around or store. Much sturdier than typical folding step stool type ladders.

Louisville makes quality ladders, and this one is as light as they come in this weight category. The gripper feet are a nice feature along with the work space top. Some complaints about the lack of packaging are valid as mine came wrapped only in plastic, but there were no dents or damage. There were only a few minor imperfections, the type I would have made myself with normal use. Overall, a light weight, solid choice for the lowest cost I've seen.

Great ladder. It is light-weight, stable, and easy to carry around the yard. It is 8 feet tall but I can easily lift and carry it with one hand, and best of all it is tall enough to reach most of the gutters. No more pine needles in my gutters (well for a few days at least). And even though it is light weight it is very sturdy and stable. I can stand on the second to highest step and it doesn’t sway a bit. So great ladder.PS: mine came packaged in a huge box. Actually it was two boxes taped together.
