This is a great little plugin light with toggle switch. It was easily mounted, and is idiot-proof!

I'm impressed with the style of this lamp. To elevate it even more, I stained the shade and added gold trim to the top and bottom edge. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the shade arrived damaged. However, the damage was on the back of the shade and once I stained it, it's barely visible. I'd buy this lamp again!

Looks great online, but there are some serious issues. First of all, the mounting bracket is almost 1/4 inch smaller than the base, so if you tighten down the canopy screws the whole base will just warp out of shape. I had to drill out a small nut I had laying around to use as a spacer between the bracket and base.Once I got it all installed I realized the arm was crooked as hell. Had to drill an extra hole to mount the right side of the bracket like 1.5 inches lower (see picture of two penciled marks) for the arm to be even remotely level. Package came a little dinged up but nothing that would cause this much of an issue when installing. Honestly for $40 this is pretty pathetic. Luckily I have a bunch of random hardware I was able to use to fix it.Altogether, I have no idea how this thing is rated so well if my item is any indication of what others are receiving.Oh, and I almost forgot, the lampshade that was wrapped in plastic still somehow had a couple faint stains on it but you can't tell in any pictures so I didn't attach.

I just needed a small lamp above a laser printer workspace, and this seemed to be the perfect solution.Some things to be aware of: the arms are VERY short -- fully extended it's only about 1 foot from the base. So if you're imagining the hotel lamp that reaches out 2-3 feet... this isn't it. The shade also just sits VERY loosely, lightly held in place by the bulb itself. (Hint to the non-engineers: You have to place the shade first, THEN screw in the bulb.) A standard (old) 40w bulb is reasonable to give basic light. If you're looking for super bright, just use an LED bulb instead.Biggest complaint is the installation bracket. You'd ASSUME the holes would all line up to be LEVEL, and I even USED a level during install. But you'd be wrong. After getting the bracket PERFECT and level, the small holes attaching the decorative part to the plate are about 10 degrees off! I guess this is what counts as "quality assurance" in the country where it was made. (Hint: Not made in USA).For me, it does the trick. But based on quality, size, and expectations, it SHOULD BE about HALF what it is. It's a $25 lamp, to be honest. To make it worth this price, the arms would extend it to at least 2 feet, the shade would SCREW on securely, and the install bracket holes would be LEVEL.

Se me hace un producto caro para lo que ofrece, realmente los materiales son sencillos y por más que uno haga por quererla nivelar siempre queda torcida y de lado.Considero que en tiendas especializadas fácilmente se puede a la mitad de precio.
