Accepting Your Power to Heal: The Personal Practice of Therapeutic Touch

A Lovely Read
I am a massage therapist and I bought this book thinking it would be slightly different than it is... I was thinking it would be about bodywork in general - therapeutic touch in the sense of massage, chiropractic, structural work, etc. However, it is more about the 'laying of hands' or just simply energy work - no touch involved. I think this book would be well suited for someone doing Reiki or some other energy work.I did read it, though, and I can say I really enjoyed it and learned quite a few things that I can incorporate into my massage practice- and will.

Truly ahead of her time
Dr Krieger so eloquently describes this therapy and guides one into a deeper understanding of Therapuetic Touch (TT). One will want to find a true TT teacher and learn this helpful and healing therpy.

It's okay
It's a nice book and easy to read. However for me, I found it to be a bit "lightweight' and was looking for a bit more information.

seems like a water down version of pranic healing.
Sorry for this low rating, but I got more in depth knowledge of learning to heal from "Your hands can heal you"

Utter nonsense, hilarious
I am glad I bought this, because it is unintentionally hilarious. I read it out of open-mindedness, but the whole 'healing touch' thing has long been de-bunked (e.g. Emily Rosa experiment, psychological explanations, common sense). It's great that nice, well-meaning people have come up with ways of helping the body to relax (which will naturally aid healing and promote general wellbeing) . . . but to claim this is due to some sort of magical energy field is just fairy-tale thinking.
