Rockridge Press Word for Word: Fun Finds!: Word Search Puzzles for Kids Ages 6-8

I don't normally leave reviews however just wanted to pre warn people this has spelling mistakes all over and also words missing! This has clearly not been double checked.

I would love to give this 0 b/c how you can screw up a word search publication not just with one misspelling but multiple is beyond me ...My 6 yr old couldn’t find dog on page 19 and I thought she wasn’t trying hard enough....She was...it was not there or rather was but in misspelled form as was the word together on page 21...Ridiculous!!!! Do not buy this for your kids!!!!

I got this for my 7-year-old, and he has crushed it! He probably didn't even realize that the book got progressively more difficult as the pages were flipped, going from 10 x 10 to 12 x 12 to 15 x 15 in the end. The coolest part of this book is the simple life lessons it offers from page to page, about family togetherness, acting kindly, eating healthy foods, etc. My son's impressionable enough that these messages actually sink in with him, or at least plant the seeds needed to grow up to be a good person. Fun stuff!

I really wanted to rate this better. Bought them to keep kids busy and develop a focus skill set. When they would call me over on multiple pages that they could not find a word. I thought they just gave up. But, no!Multiple pages don't have the word within the puzzle. Never heard of such thing for a word search.

Our 7 year old started out loving this book but became frustrated when she couldn't find a few of the words. When my wife and I helped her, we discovered that there are words listed to be found that aren't even in the puzzle! Even the answer key at the end of the book shows fewer than the listed words (i.e. page 82 puzzle lists 16 words to be found, but only 12 are actually in the puzzle - this is confirmed by only 12 answers in the key). This is just one example, there are other puzzles in the book with the same issue.This is a product for 6-8 year olds. Sending them on a search for words that aren't even in the puzzle is, well, just mean. I'm very disappointed in the authors / publishers of this book and they should be ashamed for offering this poor quality product.
