I should have read the reviews more closely on this before I purchased it. I bought it for my mother in a nursing home with impaired sight. She also has severe arthritis in her hands. She called me this morning asking me what time it is because her talking clock jumped 2 hours ahead. I started to suspect one of the nursing home employees messed it up on her, but I thought I would post a question if anyone else had had this happen. I started by reading the reviews and learned how easily the set up buttons on the back can be touched accidentally. With my mom's arthritis, I can easily see now how that could have happened. I live a good distance from the nursing home so it will be quite a while before I can get over there and reset it for her, so she is stuck with a clock that tells inaccurate time. I probably need to look around for a different one anyway because if I fix the settings, it could easily happen again. The instructions to set it up correctly are also confusing.I need to remember to read all of the reviews before buying things. This seemed like such a simple thing to buy but it turned out pretty useless for my mother.

Very unreliable product. I originally have it two stars and thought it may be a little too high. After writing the review, you see I went back to change it to 1 star. I have to verify time every morning and reset the time most days because it loses time constantly. It extremely annoying because I the buttons are too small to easily use my fingers. I have to use something with a small point, which is not always handy. Flashes off sometimes like it loses power. I have had it almost 45 days, and changed the batteries 3 times. I thought it may be battery related but it appears to be very low quality. The concept is perfect for my 5 and 7 year old kids to keep time on the days they eat breakfast at school to get to class on time because of the 15 minute bell gap.

I bought this talking clock because I’m visually impaired and work at a job that requires me to be able to check the time often and easily. It’s small and lightweight so it’s great to keep on you. The voice is loud and clear. My issue with it unfortunately has kept me from using it. The issue is that the buttons that you use to set the time are too easily pressed by accident. They are on the back of the device, and stick out pretty far. They are very easily pressed if the clock bumps up against other things. The first time I brought it to work I carried it in my pocket. By the time I made my 5 minute walk to work, the clock had reset itself to the wrong time presumably from bumping into the other contents of my pocket. It happened again the next day as well. I wish there was a cover for the setting buttons.

I got two one for a friend and one for me. They include extra batteries. You will need to replace the ones in it right away. You will need a mini screwdriver to do this. Setting the time is easy but be careful the setting buttons are very sensitive. It is very easy to accidentally change the time.

Bought this for my blind mother so she would know the time. Difficult to set and there are three small buttons on the back that she kept touching. It was always needing reset and it would go off making all types of sounds 24 hours round the clock. It went into the trash.
