These smelled strongly of herbs, which I actually quite like. There were no English instructions, so I checked online. 3 mins in the microwave if you don't have a steamer, allow to cool once finished, then store in a bag in the freezer. I used the microwave, completed the massage, which was very pleasant, then put the item down to cool. A couple of hours later, my partner woke me to say that it could have burned the house down. Thick smoke. We placed it outside on the porch. Next morning, it was completely black and burned, still producing smoke. Just a warning. Nice product, but not exactly safe!
