Re-02 Mobile Antenna Ground Uhf-f 10-1300mhz for Car Radio Motorola Icom

It does what you'd expect--I haven't run it thru the analyzer as yet, but I can make the normal ARES net check-in on VHF, 220 mhz, and UHF frequencies OK. Our local radio club is going to have a demonstration on the NANAVNA antenna analyzer, so this will be a good opportunity to see how the two different rods stack up, and also check for a 45 degree down angle. I have a 15' telescoping portable antenna mast to use on field deployments, which this will be attached. thnx, 73, K6SNS

It...is what it looks like. Looks like a UHF coupler but with threaded holes for the elements. I don't think they're a very effective length. I think my car is a much better groundplane than I think as this had no effect on the antenna. I have not tested it...but the theory is sound and this type of thing works before.Some of the ground elements were difficult to get threaded in. That's about the only complaint.

PL259/SO259 connectors, so not for NMO antennas.

I bought this to add a 2M ground plane to a comet SBB1 antenna that I use it on the back of a shack in the box setup. The radio is a Kenwood D710G. The kit improved my reception, I mostly use this radio for APRS or as a solo antenna setup if I need to get setup on the air fast and dont/cant satup my mast and Comet GP3.
