I purchased these sized MEDIUM boots for my 5mo, 11 lb, Shih Tzu. The boots are just a little big but not too big for my puppy because a size small is usually too small. So, a medium is a good size for a 11lb Shih Tzu, still growing, puppy because it's easy to get the paw boot on. My puppy is able to run and play in the snow, for a very short time, in these boots. By short time, I mean less than 5 mins. Although the size is good, this boot is NOT suitable for cold weather. I don't know what these boots are lined with, but the lining is very, very thin and is NOT fleece. These boots are not suitable for a puppy. They're fine for an older dog, who's had all his shots, and can take the winter cold but no good for a puppy going through his first winter. Especially, not good for a dog as small as a Shih Tzu.

They fit my dog perfectly, it was easy to put on and take off. My dog was able to walk perfectly. Good protection for my dogs feet.

It’s only a 3, even with the string to tighten them, the boots will still slide off their feet as they’re walking or running. Tried one of the smallest sizes to the biggest and still had the same issue. The string they can also easily get to and they just want to play with it, so in addition to them sliding off their feet when they run but they figured out they can use the string to take them off. I have two 25 pound doodles and I think the design of the boots needs to be modified a bit.

I got these shoes because my dog goes to doggy daycare and the lady who runs the place that she might benefit from wearing shoes because she does not like to get her feet cold.My dog is a long-haired miniature dachshund, and she does not like the cold weather.So I put them on her and she just will not keep them on. I mean she won’t wear them. She just will not. I tried many many times tightening them loosening them rolling down the top just putting her outside and trying to play with her to forget about them that she had them on. But it’s a big no she will not wear them.

…. If your dog will tolerate something on their feet, these are great.

Lifesaver specially during bad weather days. My dog loves it as well.
