Really useful and has surprising results
I wouldn't say that I was sceptical but I was most certainly curious about this book. I know the value of diet and exercise already I mean even if you didn't practice it you must have heard about it. However I do practice what I consider to be good nutrition and exercise regularly. So I was very pleased to find a lot of very useful and up until now, information that I hadn't heard of before. Great!I'm co ing up to 44 soon and so have sadly seen my stamina reduce of the recent years, I also get tired quickly and often. Cant believe its finally happening to me after so many years of thinking that I would live forever but I am only 44 and this book really drives that home. I still have a long way to go and with some clever recipes and routines I can still squeeze all the life out of living thats left lol.I loved the recipes the most I think, they were tasty and over time I did notice my cognitive function improve and I was also a lot less tired. I think that also just reading a book like this really helps you get into the right mind set to capture that day fully.Lovely little book, recommended!

Perfect for men who are a bit older and are starting to feel it.
This book is a one-stop shop for anyone who is looking to not only change their mindset but have a clear, actionable plan set out in front of them. I love the fact there are recipes in the back and give you plenty of ideas so you know where to start.

Covers all the bases
As a 55 year old guy, I know trying to get in better shape and shed a few pounds isn’t easy. After reading this book, I will put a number of ideas I learned in this book to use. Common sense advice that I’ll be reading again and again.

Very good, common sense approach to understanding nutrition
I loved reading this. It validated some of the assumptions I was making and provided good advice on simple mistakes I was making. If you know a little about nutrition, this book can fill some gaps. If you are starting from ground zero, it's a easy read and you'll learn a LOT. Very well done book on a difficult and complicated topic.

Improve Your Health and Well- Being
Keeping in shape and maintaining good health is important at any age, but it takes on special significance as you age. Once you become a full- fledged member of the over 50 club, you need to take more precautions than normal, eat better, and otherwise do what you can to ensure the healthiest life possible for your remaining years. Ensuring good health over 50 is the focus of this book, Stay Fit at Any Age.As this book’s title suggests, it can apply to anyone but the book is aimed mostly at those who are in their second half of life and want to do what they can to look at feel as good as possible. I am a member of the over 50 club and I can relate to the things the book talks about. I am more concerned about health than I was in the past and even though I have a strong track record when it comes to good health and I am reasonably fit, it still something that concerns me and that is why I turned to this book for guidance.Everyone knows the importance of exercise, quitting smoking, etc and these things are discussed in this book. But the book is more about healthy eating than anything and, as I read, I did discover several facts of which I was previously unaware. The different nutrients present in certain foods, the benefits of reducing or eliminating most meat from the diet, the superiority of the Mediterranean diet, and other facts are presented in an easy-to-read format.Another part of this book many will like is the recipes at the end. Lots of health books have recipes, but one standout here is the thoroughness of the nutritional data. The total protein, fat, carbs, sodium, cholesterol, sugar, and so on are presented, right down to the tenth of a gram! Other books leave out these key pieces of information, leaving the reader lost and forcing him/her to consult the internet for these important facts.Everyone can agree that fitness and healthy eating matter. Stay Fit at Any Age is a useful guide for understanding the importance of good health and what you and I can do to improve our well- being for a happy life in retirement. It won’t answer every single question you have about health and nutrition, since it is brief, but it will get you started down the path toward improved health and it makes a great starting point for anyone who wants to eat better and feel better.
