Q: Has anyone had issue with material melting if using a heat press and vinyl?

I cannot answer about heat press. I haven’t used that. But this is my second year buying these bags for my kindergartner students to use all year. They last all year. I only had 2 break the zipper.

Q: What temperature and time for heat setting vinyl on these bags?

I have a Cricut Easy Press. I placed a piece of wax paper on the inside & pressed them on 330° for 30 seconds, the 15 seconds on the back. They were perfect!

Q: Can you see through these?

Cannot see through the pouches but you can see the shadow of the shape of item in it if you hold it up to the light

Q: Can these zipper bags be used as a cosmetic bag? How much cosmetics can be put?

You can put makeup brushes, liquid foundation, lipstick, and other cosmetics, I think it is very suitable as a cosmetic bag.
