Works, but is one of the loudest hard drives I've ever had
I bought this to use exclusively as a backup drive for backing up the files on my primary PC. I got it installed and formatted with no problems and it seems to be doing its job just fine, but I will say it's one of the noisiest hard drives I've ever used, at least in recent memory. I would not want to use this as my primary drive and hear that sound all day long.

13 months after purchase the drive will not boot to windows. Tested in two different computers with the same results. The following is a response from the seller:HI Shelly, base on your described symptom, I believed it is your Software screwed up (Virus or Malware) destroyed MBR that is why your system cannot boot. If your system cannot recognize HD then you should look at the BIOS setting to enable the HD then reinstall the windows from fresh. Sorry, I cannot consult much on SoftWare side.Sorry, Amazon would not let any item return after one year plus we did not warranty this HD more than a year so this is not returnable.

Not very useful if it dies 2 months into the purchase.
