I bought three of these in April 2016 and installed them in ground to light up a very tall tree. They did the job perfectly and lit the tree up to the top, about 100 feet, really looked nice. However, in September 2016, all three started to fail. Upon inspection, they all had some degree of water inside them. The fact that some of the LEDs still worked while full of water was surprising. I decided to purchase different lights from a commercial source, but most were priced at $400 to $800 each, totally unaffordable. Because they looked so good and I simply cannot find an alternative that I can afford, I'll probably buy three more of these, take them apart and try to completely seal them myself. I'll then be able to install them quickly in the original mounts.

The product itself is good, but the assembly and quality control is not. Like others reviews, I purchased a few of these and at least one had bad fittings/gaskets and not assembled. I didn't think much of it and just coated some silicone around the outside of all the fittings and gaskets and wiring and thought that would be adequate. Water got inside and destroyed the one unit within a few months of installation. I installed them along my driveway up to my mailbox and there was no low areas or poor drainage areas. The others that were not defective are still working fine after several months and they do shine bright. If only there was better quality control and better assembly. I would recommend taking the unit apart and installing a good fresh bead of silicone on the seals, gaskets, and around the cabling because the units may say waterproof and give the good IP67 rating, but they are not.

This light is quite bright with a good beam angle (their description says 60 deg, and it seems accurate) and even beam profile. The housing seems durable. The cord is very short (about 12 inches) and has no specific way to connect to your low voltage wiring. The cord is similar to an AC line cord with two conductors in a pvc jacket, and it seems possible that water could seep into the housing through the jacket unless you seal it with silicone. We just installed these and don't have any data on their durability, but the quality seems good and we are ordering two more.

The lights have great lumination, easy to install.However, one of the 8 lights ordered failed. I have reached out to LEDwholesalers and they have yet to respond. I hope they backup their warranty. Stay tuned.

To avoid the problems others had mentioned about moisture behind the lens causing premature failure I took several precautions. 1st I removed the lens cover and ran thin beads of silicon sealant around the lens seal and the ring to housing seal. 2nd I provided plenty of drainage around the unit buy mounting it in a PVC pipe fitting, supported in a bed of fine gravel. Despite these precautions - after 4 months there is moisture behind the lens. While it still lights I will now have to pull it apart to attempt to reseal it before the LEDs start to fail.UPDATE 3 days after writing this review 8 of the 12 LEDs failed. No return available on Amazon. Lasted 5 months. Now verified POS! Would not buy again.

Very bright and look amazing in our yard, but two of the eight I purchased leaked and burned out in less than two months.

Awesome light! Replaced the cheap standard landscape lights under our majestic Japanese Maple and was just stunned at the difference. Perfect color temp and lit up the whole tree. Extremely well made. Expensive but worth every penny. In fact, going to order 3 more.
