Q: Is this ceiling adapter compatible with Arlo Pro 4?

Yes, I’m using three of these with my Pro 4 cameras.

Q: Do you have to buy the security mount also to make this work?

no. The mount that came with my camera matched up to it. I had to Google to find out what the Arlo security mount was, and I don't have one.

Q: How do you dismount to recharge batteries?

The pro 4 camera comes out of the front of the housing to access the battery. The old cameras required the back to be opened. If you really want to take the camera and housing off the mount just twist and pull off.

Q: Are black versions of this mount available?

Yes they make black mounts but probably need to be ordered directly from Arlo
