not enough light for reading but it is handy the way it light head is very adaptable, and you can use it in a dark room and not bother someone else with your light.

I'd like someone to decipher the ridiculous "directions." I still haven't figured out what all the washers are for. After assembly, it's very wobbly and looks like it won't last a year.

If you haven't priced lamps in regular retail stores recently ... get ready for a big shock !!! The prices have become "outrageously high." At only $45, this lamp is an excellent value. Most retail stores are now selling equivalent lamps for $100 - $200 !!! This is also a very well made and fashionably designed style. It is 'classically' modern. One of its best features (which also distinguishes it from other poorly made products) is the amount of "weight" in the lamp's base. There is easily 20 - 25 pounds or more. This advantage means that the lamp will seldom be prone to 'tipping over' breaking, and becoming a potential hazard.
