The wood this box is made of is lovely and would go with any wood in your room. The only thing that would make it better is if it had anti-scratch pads on the bottom. Not hard to do yourself, I know. It just would be a nice feature.

Beautiful craftsmanship. Wood is lovely. Comes with a lock and key. Looks like a much more expensive item. Plan to pack it full of things for my goddaughter to take with her for her first year of college and I know she’ll love the box itself.

Received the box today and both my husband and I are very happy with it; it appears to be well made and the color is really rich & deep into the wood, the lock is a little hard to lock and you have to push down on the lid to get it to catch ... but on the good side that makes a good tight seal, and we got it to keep delicate valuable items away from silverfish. The only real gripe I have with the box is my own fault; I failed to register the fact that it only has one key, (most of the boxes we considered had two keys), and I like to have two so both husband and I can have one to keep for easy access to the box. My oversight aside, it is a great box & I would recommend it.

Not the best wooden box I've gotten here on Azon. This one does not match up perfectly when you close the top - there's a small gap. Otherwise nice little box.

I looked many places for a box with engraving and could not find the box that I had in mind. I had saved this one and chose it because the wood is beautiful and it is the size I knew it that would fit many memories and treasures of one’s life.I may purchase another for myself to hold those little treasures I have from my parents.I will say it was marred on the top side in a tiny section, but I love character and felt it was meant to be that way and knew it deserved 5 stars.

Well-made and sturdy, this wooden box is great for storing all kinds of things. I use it to store special occasion pictures and letters and other small keepsakes. The little lock is kind of fun and adds a bit of flair. This solid wood box is nice enough to leave on an end table or anywhere else in your home where you might want to show it off.The only two negatives for me - and it's basically down to personal preference - are the brass-plated hardware is a bit too shiny and it would be nice if the box were cloth-lined and padded.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
