YardleyOf London April Violets Perfumed Talc for her

My Mum loved Yardley talcs and as the anniversary of her passing approached I thought April Violets Talc would be a nice way of remembering her on the day. Have just unsealed the tin and am amazed to find it has no discernible scent! How can this be? Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed :-(

I understand Yardley wanted to update its products, but I bought their Violet talc because I expected it to have a violet scent. I noted a number of positive reviews were from those who had bought it as a gift. I wish I had taken more notice of the less positive reviews, but mistakenly supposed there would at least be some discernable scent of violets. If anything, it reminds me of mens' aftershave from my childhood.

This scent wasn't for me. Couldn't smell any violets. Just smell floral and old fashioned.Also mine arrived with a dent in the metal.I like the Yardley scents but not this one.

My wife has used this product for years, she loves the smell of violets, infact we both do, but this new package = new fragrance, which is nothing like violets in anyway. Very disappointed in Yardley, a trusted name that I no longer trust. Will not be buying again.

Tin damaged at top where it meets the plastic lid. Slight leak. My wife says it's no big deal. To be fair we very rarely get a problem with Amazon. Life's to short to worry about it. KBO.
