At 1mm, bugtail is the thinnest satin cord we offer. This cord is an excellent color to use in braided kumihimo creations, and will complement a variety of jewelry designs including jewelry making, macrame projects or ancient knotting techniques. Great for bead organization, storage and display too!

It's thinner than any bugtail/rattail that I can find in stores. Nicely flexible. It's shiny (not metallic shiny, just nice rattail-type shiny) and works up beautifully for braiding and knotting. Haven't tried weaving yet. The width stays even throughout the length of cord that I've used so far. The color is pretty true to the image. The only aspect that I wasn't expecting is that the width of the "variegated transition" part (the sections where it's changing from cream to green) is not as long as I would like it to be. Certain types of braids can look like it's a two-color cord rather than variegated.
