Like Bigger Leaner Stronger and Thinner Leaner Stronger, Muscle for Life is the complete package.It contains everything you could ever need to map out your training and nutrition, as well as overcome many of the mental obstacles along the way.Unlike BLS and TLS, though, this book is designed specifically for those who are middle-aged and above. It's content is tailored towards making healthy nutrition and weightlifting a long-term habit, provides a greater number of training options (based on your exercise history), and allows you to transition between these options at a rate you see fit.Overall, highly recommended.

Sound advice for diet and excercise but you have to have Gym membership
I purchased this book because i want to increase my strength training and the reviews suggested that this was the focus, regardless of age. What the reviews didn't tell me is that to actually follow the excercise plan you need to belong to gym. I don't and the book does not address how to adjust for that short of buying all the machines you would find in a full service gym. I am a Peloton member, have a bike and tread and do the strength training classes they offer. I am not planning on joining a gym. I believe for someone like me, over 60, I should be able to do body weight excercise, and other classes to get strong, but this book isn't going to help much in those areas.

One of the most evidence-based fitness books out there!
Mike is one of the only fitness professionals in the industry who uses REAL research to support his claims. I never read fitness/nutrition books because most are simply opinion pieces, but Mike and Muscle For Life brand are the real deal. I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the science with no fluff in an entertaining and easy to understand way!

Can’t find better!
Mike uses real and current evidence in everything that he produces. There is no crap in Legion supplements, and none in this book. The best fitness book available. Get it. Use it. See results!
