A capable light.. IF it fits
Purchased this to replace a MR11 in several Christmas decorationsThe God:+ Nice, bright, even light.+ Puts off very little heat.. especially compared to halogen MR11s. I left my decorations on all night after installing these.+ Uses a fraction of the energy of a regular MR11.The Bad:- For some reason, these LED MR11s are almost 1/4" taller than regular MR11s.- It took extensive modifications to one of my devices to get the light to even fit (and then there was only 1/8" to spare).- The added 1/4" appears unneeded.. it appears to simply be an extension of the base.- The springs that hold the lights in don't like to stretch that extra 1/4", so they are difficult to reinstall.TIP: When reattaching the springs, be sure to hold the light to the base until you get both springs on or you my bend a contact or even break the socket. The Verdict:If you are going to use this in an open fixture, you will love it. If you are using it in a closed, projector type housing, make sure you have that extra 1/4" of space above it!

Very nice, but quite deep and fixture modifications are likely needed
Per the other reviewer, these bulbs are excellent but very deep. Many MR11 fixtures are meant to use a bare bulb and thus have a reflector in place to help focus the light. This creates two problems that prevent the use of this bulb. First, the reflector, which is not needed, doesn't allow the this bulb to sit on the connector because of the space the reflector takes, but, more importantly, the two screws in the bottom of the reflector prevent this bulb from making adequate contact. So, the first thing you must do is remove the reflector and the two screws holding the reflector in place. This lets the bulb fit in the fixture housing and make contact but due to the depth of this bulb, you are probably not going to be able to screw the cover on. So, to solve this, you have to remove the screws holding the female connector in place in the bottom of the fixture. This allows the female connector to sit lower in the fixture. Now the this bulb will fit with the cover on. The only downside is that the bulb and female connector are not fixed in place in the fixture and sort of flops around. Not a big deal, you can typically hold the bulb centered in the fixture, screw the cover on and let the cover hold the bulb in place. There shouldn't be any danger of a short or anything since the connector and bulb are well insulated (I'm an EE so I know what I am talking about, but check out your own fixture). I have used them with three common types of MR11 fixtures and with these mods everything was fine. If you don't like making these kind of accommodations for a great low cost bulb, then please do not buy these bulbs. Getting this kind of power and lens in an MR11 bulb is a challenge. They possibly could have made the bulb smaller using a smaller heat sink and cheaper lens, but I'm glad they didn't. By the way, be careful not to let the voltage get too high since that will shorten the life of any led bulb.

Longevity is the issue
Bought in 2015 for quite a few landscape lights (15+). Brightness was good and at the time I felt good value for the money. But when I started having to replace the lights as they stopped working, couple each year, my positive review of the light has dropped. 2019, just replaced another 4. So far, 2/3 have been replaced. If not for reliability, I would recommend otherwise.

These are not direct replacements for MR11 as they are too tall
Bought 24 of these but they didn't fit into a WAC downlighting system. The cans have a metal band on the top when you disassemble them but the bulb it too tall. I was able to mod the cans by taking off a brace but than it was hard to plug in the ceramic socket to the pins (not much clearance even without the brace. Even if that was able to be overlooked the blue tint and the flickering was dazzling to the eyes (not in a good way) and by dazzling it was more like eye strain as it wasn't clean light it was the wrong tint and the pulse width modulation was VERY noticeable. These were returned and hopefully in the near future there will be LED MR11 bulbs that truly retrofit without beiung larger than the standard halogen bulbs they are meant to replace.

Great Color and Brightness
We put these (warm white) in a range hood to replace halogen bulbs. Replacing just one of them at first, you could not easily determine which one was the LED by the color. You could identify the LED by the brightness, however; It was notably brighter than the 20W halogens. The diffuser is just right for this application, distributing the light fairly evenly over a reasonable cone angle. We did have one that occasionally wouldn't come one, but reversing the polarity seems to have fixed it so far.UPDATE: The problematic bulb evidently had a loose connection internally because it got worse and occurred in several different fixtures. We shipped it back to LEDwholesalers and they sent us a new one promptly. We are really enjoying the bulbs and have had no further issues.

Good replacement for my landscape halogen bulbs
Great bulb to replace halogens on my Malibu lights. I use a lot of the glass mushroom up lights and these fit nicely. There are a couple of screws in those Malibu lights holding the reflector (which you don't really need with these bulbs) but the bulbs maintain good contact even if the screws are in the way. Good color and concentration of light if you are looking for a spot light. I have the similar flood light but the difference is subtle. Buy both and have them to experiment with. I recommend these bulbs and will buy again.

Very bright
Brighter than mr-11 halogen bulb 20 watts. The 120 degree is perfect for landscape light wall wash. The 30 degree is good up lighting into trees. Replaced pin type 20 watt halogens and mr-16 with these also. No idea on longevity but I just replaced 110 outside lights with various LEDS. Now the test begins.Lowes sells a package of two metal 20 watt halogen fixtures for $20. Add these lights and you have 4 watt LEDs for $15 each. the LEDS are tight fitting but they do fit if you have patience.

Now definitely cool white. First one out of the pack failed
I bought a pack of these a few years back and was happy with them. The new pack I just received are definitely a very cool white, whereas the old ones were much warmer. To be fair, it now says "cool white" on the package, but that's not made clear on the Amazon listing. In addition the first bulb I installed died right away...
