BIC VELLEDA Dry Wipe White Board 30 x 44cm Double-sided board

Bought this to do some mathematical equations and simply writing down reminders to myself and i would strongly recommend people do buy a whiteboard as they are great for any student or professional.The actual product was surprisingly light and beware that this isn't the whiteboard you see in schools or offices. This board is simply a plastic lacquer applied on top of what appeared to be a very flimsy and pliable cardboard. To some the lightweight design will be great especially if you are worried it may fall over as this won't hurt a fly. The product i would estimate being at best 500g maybe less. The lightweight design makes this extremely flimsy. Simply leaning on this board whilst writing causes it to bend. In my case, when i received this product, it was already bent and had creases running all across the surface. The double sided aspect is what initially drew me to this bic product and it does seem very handy. It is also extremely thin and so can be easily stowed away.Another note of caution, being only a plastic coating the surface doesn't have that nice bright metallic shine and actually looks as if it has been used several times already. Because of the condition of the product i was unable to test the surface with a pen so i can't help in that aspect.Overall i found this product to be disappointing and of poor quality, this is only suitable for very, very light use. The product is not durable and i doubt it will be able to withstand any general use.

This is a handy size whiteboard, and no doubt a quality manufacturer such as BiC Velleda made it durable enough for standard use. The product is not 'hard' and shiny like magnetic whiteboards, just a bit tougher than a cardboard box with a glossy surface. I wanted to use it as a task list on the back of a door, handy in an increasingly hectic life!However, Amazon decided to send it through normal post wrapped in minimal plastic. Not even a sticker 'do not bend', or some bubble wrap. Really not good enough for an item that does not fit through letter boxes, but is flat enough to get crushed among other packages. It was severely bent and scratched when I received it, and I haven't had an opportunity to return it via the post office. Thankfully the item is cheap, but I will think twice before ordering anything from Amazon larger or less tough than a PVC dvd box.

I bought this for my 12 year old son who is a visual learner and uses white boards a lot when revising. Having previously used smaller, cheaper branded whiteboards, I was disappointed with this one. The size is great and the fact that it is double sided is a bonus, however it is much flimsier than you would expect. My son accidentally stood on it and it immediately creased the whole way across the middle. I suspect it is just cardboard on the inside - it is certainly lightweight. He also finds it difficult to clean unless it is wiped straight away. There is a permanent red residue on his board because of this. Overall a disappointing purchase and I certainly would hesitate before purchasing a BIC product again.

This is my first ever one star review. Bought the whiteboard 2 weeks before deciding to return it. As one of the reviews said, I did get a fold mark on one side of the whiteboard most probably due to improper packaging. I tried to overlook it at first, as I have never returned any stuff bought online so far. Plus, I am going to need only one side of the board. Fine.Then, as days went by, it had become increasingly hard to erase words from the whiteboard. I applied force in my attempt to erase the words, and that made it worse. I scratched the whiteboard with my nail unintentionally and that left a permanent scar on the whiteboard. Now I am not going to treat my whiteboard like a baby, I am sure none of you would want to waste time babysitting it as well.Therefore, when my magnetic whiteboard of similar size arrived, which is cheaper and much better in quality, I did not hesitate to return my first ever purchase.Look elsewhere my friends.

The writing surface is paper based and this item was delivered with one of the surface wrinkled. A definite manufacturing error that was not picked up with a quality check. Returned it and will not repurchase. Sorry.
