Must admit we were really impressed and thought it a great dehumidifier when it worked but the problem is it only lasted 10 months. Still shows signs of working other than it no longer removes moisture. We have messaged the manufacturer today and await their response/thoughts - we may revise this review (as to be honest we were pleased with the unit) but that will be dependent on how they respond to this issue.Update - well I am a believer in the theory that you don't judge a company solely on its product as all products can fail but on how they deal with failures - and to be honest they have been excellent right from first contact to resolution. Well done to them and hence an upgrade to 5 stars.

I researched long and hard about this purchase as there are a lot of dehumidifier options out there.This one has good reviews and now I have received it and used it, I can see why.Delivery was fast and on time, the packaging is good but not overly wasteful.Instructions are clear and concise.The machine is very modern looking and smart, it's nicely put together and seems solidly built.The four casters are nice and help with wheeling it around and also spinning it around to take out the water tank. There are two nice cut-outs to help lift and move the machine, it isn't heavy so this achieved with ease.I left the machine upright for 24 hours to allow the coolants to settle.When I did eventually get to turn it on I was pleasantly surprised by the noise it makes.Yes it has a fan and fans make a noise, but this is not excessive at all, even on the higher of the two fan speeds. I wanted this machine to do the whole single floor of my home and so I am happy that the fan is strong enough to circulate the air around otherwise the machine would be just circulating localised air making it ineffectual.The machine monitored and displayed the humidity level quickly successfully matching my separate humidity monitor, so all good there.I left it to do its thing for a couple of hours and as expected it did its job.Removing the tank is easy enough, it's a nice snug fit and after the first couple of uses no issues. Emptying is a breeze and there is a nice little handle to carry the tank.I have the used the below features:Auto mode - You set the desired humidity level, the machine monitors the humidity and turns on if above your target level and off once that level is achieved. If the humidy rises again the machine starts and off you go again. Simple!On mode - Does what it says on the tin... the machine is on doing its thing.Washing mode - The machine does its thing and as it makes the air surrounding your airing laundry dryer, the water in your laundry evaporates quicker than normal and is collected by the machine. I put my laundry and this machine in a room and left it to do its thing. Great results and no damp smell. The Terry towelling dressing gown two bath mats and two large towels dried impressively quickly, much quicker than normal and no strange damp laundry smell !!Fan mode - Guess what, it's a fan, no dehumidifier function, so it basically just circulates the air.Timer mode - Two options with this. The timer can be a delayed start or auto turn off after your chosen number of hours.I have three small digital humidity monitors in my home and am very happy to see them all dropping when this machine is doing its thing from its home on the landing. The rooms feel refreshed after an hour two and as a result I am happy with my purchase.If things change I will edit this, but so far so good.

I purchased two Avalla Dehumidifiers one Avalla X 150 & one Avalla X 95 for my son's bedrooms.Our house is quite old and and the bedrooms do suffer from damp, lots of condensation on the windows everyday and the walls always feel slightly damp (on touch). I had done a fair bit of research on which Dehumidifier to buy, in terms of performance and went through lots of reviews and decided to try Avalla. I am so glad I did! I can honestly say, they have made such a difference in both bedrooms. There is no more condensation on the windows anymore and that damp feeling to the walls and sometimes on bedding, has completely gone. We generally leave the on all day and all night and in the morning the tank is completely full. There have also been days, when some nights we have turned them off at bed time and they have still made a significant difference in both rooms. I wish I had purchased these sooner, as we have always had damp in the bedrooms and we have had problems with mould occurring and have had to treat the walls for this. These have really made a huge difference, the rooms don't feel damp or have that damp smell, and I'm sure this is so much better for my children's health. We had also used the Dehumidifier for drying washing on the clothes airer (there is a drying setting) this was also vert effective too, so not only do they help with the damp issue and keeping on top of condensation but are great for drying clothes too. A very worthwhile product and definitely exceeded my expectations. Thank You.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Bought for my parents, they have had this for over a year still working well. However it is noisy

Working very well. It is very easy to use. Easy to move around your rooms as it has four wheels mounted. Dehumidifier is a bit noisy to sleep next to it, mainly when is defrosting. Once you turn it on it will immediately show on the top display how much percent of humidity is in your room. When it is above the recommended level there is a displayed circle from the front which will show red light. Once you reach the recommended level of humid in your room the circle will turn from red to green. Recommended level is between 50-60 percent. 3,5 litre tank is more then enough to run it for few hours without any worries. This tipe can cover up to 41 square meters area which is perfect if you have a bigger rooms. Design is really nice and it doesnt feel cheap. the plastic cover is pretty solid build and stable. After three month of using I am very satisfied with this product and can highly recommend . Also would recommend when using in winter combine the opening windows for some time fist and when feel to cold turn on the dehumidifier to save more energy. Also I would recommend to place it as close to affected area as possible for the best results.

Had a bad damp issue in the apartment with mould growing round all the large windows, and condensation on all the widows and walls - has been completely resolved in just a couple of days. Large water tank so not having too empty it too often. Energy sufficient have left it on for well over 10 hours and with the preferred humidity set it slows the fan down and has gotten expensive. Good build and easy to manoeuvre around.
