Spoiler alerts ahead! Last Resort begins with a white-hot one night stand between Callahan (only known as "Johnnie" because of his drink of choice) and Sutton (known as "Collins" because of her drink), both thinking they'll never see each other again. The next morning, they meet again over a conference table, with Sutton being interviewed for a job as a consultant to try and turn around a failing hotel in the Caribbean. The company hiring her is S.I.N., owned by triplets, ALL looking liking the man Sutton just had her spectacular night with! A very interesting start to the book! Sutton is hired and is told one of the triplets, Callahan, will be going to the island with her to oversee everything. Sutton has no idea if this man is the one she spent the night with or not. So- very intriguing, right? At this point, though, we begin to focus on the family dynamics with the triplets, and things are NOT good. The father passed away recently, and had purchased the failing property before he did. Callahan is blamed for this by the other brothers, which is why he's being sent to "fix his screw up", or they're threatening to force him out of the company. Sutton has just escaped an abusive relationship, and is also worried about being fired from her position if she does anything that questions her morals or integrity. So even though she finds out (by accident) that Callahan WAS the one night stand she can't get out of her head, she can't allow herself to go there. I did enjoy the book, but was a little put off by Callahan's reluctance to properly communicate with his brothers or Sutton so long.

Loved it
"Oh fu..." (and a little gasp) was my reaction to the first chapter, and I immediately knew that I was going to be in for a devourable read, the kind where you sit back and enjoy the show. And this is definitely that. I binged this in one sitting with zero regrets - the story is tense, chemistry-filled, and like a sexy cat and mouse chase. It's a SIZZLE to slow burn, in that this couple starts with a HOT one night stand before discovering that they'll be working together. I loved that the emotional connection built slow and steady throughout the story, with our playboy hero off-balance the entire time. He's never had to work hard for a girl, but he finds himself drawn to the heroine in a way that's undeniable. It reads quickly, easily held my attention the whole way through, and has me very very excited for future interconnected standalones in the series. The story follows Sutton, a woman who realizes that she's been putting her own needs after her boyfriend's. When she finally does one thing for herself - accept a promotion - it's the end of that relationship. On the rebound, Sutton meets a sexy stranger at a bar and soon finds herself going up to his room. They both know they'll have one night only, no names are exchanged, and the night makes Sutton feel empowered... until she walks into a meeting the next day and sees the man she just spent the night with. Well... three of him. Turns out, that sexy stranger is a triplet who runs a business with his brothers, and Sutton has just been tasked with consulting on a project. As the chemistry continues to spark between Sutton and her one night stand, she realizes that the dynamic needs to change. There's no way she'll be respected professionally if she knowingly sleeps with the boss, but denying the chemistry is impossible.Bromberg is an easy one-click author for me, so I was excited to dig into this new series and see what it's all about. The vibe reminded me of the Wicked Ways duet (my favorite from her), with a ZAP of connection, tons of banter, a slow build in intimacy, and heated moments in nearly every interaction. Each book will follow one of the triplets, and I can't wait to get to know the other two better. This made quite the first impression, wasting zero time getting right into the action. I loved the intensity of that first steamy scene, and it certainly cemented the chemistry between these two. Our hero doesn't know how to handle what he's feeling, and watching him struggle was so much fun. He undergoes a great transformation throughout the book, making their happily ever after fulfilling. The subtle shifts in their relationship kept this feeling tense and sexy for most of the story - entirely bingeable and compelling.Audio note: The audio was excellent! Stella Hunter and Aaron Shedlock both do a great job, with performances that showcase the chemistry and emotion. Their voices are both easy to listen to, the overall quality is solid, and the dual narration enhanced the reading experience. The runtime is under 8 hours, so it's easy to finish in one day (or one sitting, if you're like me, lol). Not necessarily a book that I would recommend for a workday listen - the heat starts quickly, and there are sexually charged interactions throughout. But this was a really good audio experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

First impressions!
Sutton finally makes the move to rid herself of the abusive relationship she's in and gets talked into going out with friends. Meeting a hot guy in the club she ends up having an epic one night stand trading only nicknames. The next day her boss takes her to a meeting where she is confronted by identical triplets, one of which is the man she spent the night with. She has no idea which due to only knowing him by a nickname. Her new job has her spending time on a Caribbean island with Callahan and she can't help wonder if thiamine guy who rocked her world! This book was such a great read that I couldn't put it down. The alpha hero and the feisty heroine were perfectly suited. Their chemistry was off the charts and the interactions between them at times hilarious. Sutton learns who she really is whilst in the Caribbean and finds she's stronger than she thought. Callahan manages to find his feet after the death of his father and in Sutton he sees forever. Kristy knows how to write a book you get pulled into, fills you with all the feels and make you better by the end. Can't wait for the next book!

Chance meetings can have lifetime consequences
A new series written by this great author, gives us three Sharpe brothers, and an empire. However although identical triplets that’s were their likenesses stop.Callahan has always been their late dad’s favourite, but possibly the black sheep. A chance encounter with Sutton in a night club leads to a really delicious story. She has decided at long last to leave her long time boyfriend Clint, who loves to humiliate her, keep her in check, so that his own ego is boosted. Lizzy her best friend encourages her to walk away and live. Sutton is not a one night stand , butCallahan doesn’t do relationships . Just one nightstands. They both finish up at the same place. To remodel a failing new enterprise that the Sharpe’s Dad purchased before his death. Only Callahan knows why. No more details just to say it’s a wonderful story, full of emotions, uncertainty, sibling rivalry, and romantic moments that are to curling. Humour abounds as do believable characters. Ledger and Ford are the other brothers, and I’m sure with each book in this trilogy they will have the time to shine.

"What's in it for me? " the quote of the story - fab!
Sutton Pierce has been in limbo. Her job is going nowhere and her personal life isn't any better. He boyfriend of four years Clint has been controlling her life and it has only really just sunk in. He has made her feel worthless and knocked her down emotionally for too long.Moving in with her best friend Lizzy, and going out for a night of fun to celebrate, Sutton's life starts a change direction. Fun on a night out, followed by the offer of a potential promotion the following day. Getting away from controlling Clint could be the best move she has ever made!I love how both main characters really discover themselves more than anything. The both realise what they want out of life, whether that's together or not.

Couldn't put it down! Such a fabulous start to a new series.
This book is HOT from the first chapter and it continues to smoulder until the last word.Callahan and Sutton's story is the first on in the SIN series and it has great characters, banter and chemistry. What starts off as a one night stand, becomes a little awkward when Sutton's boss promotes her to work on a new account, which happens to be his company. At their first meeting though, Sutton has a problem working out who he is as Callahan is a triplet, and they are all sat before her.I found the book amusing, real and once started I could not put it down. Now to wait for the next Sharpe triplet :)
