Bells and whistles of a flagship at low price
I've got to say, I'm utterly amazed at how much phones have developed to be this good for this cheap!I got this as a temporary phone when my LG V20 experiencing issues with the charging dock, and is currently being repaired by the company--sadly this could take up to 3 months, so I decided to get a temporary phone because I needed it to be able to work and access lots of things on the go.I came across this, it looked decent so I thought I'd try itNeedless to say, I am now so fond of this phone, especially given its only £80, that it's become my main phone instead. It has tonnes of features that flagship phones have, albeit at the cost of a few hardware concessionsThe software really is what makes this phone so good, it's got the latest Google OS which is laser fast and optimized for phones like this where the processor is ok and more than adequate but not anything particularly specialTo be perfectly honest, I've not noticed any lags in speed when doing anything, with the exception of the turning onit's pretty slow to turn on compared to some modern phones--takes about 2 minutes which is still pretty good and compare that to the days of early smartphones which used to be like 10 minutesThis phone isnts without its drawbacks, and there has been concessions made in order to make this phone the price it isAs far as I can tell there have been 3 main concessions1.Camera--I don't mind too much because I didn't expect it to be very good, so I wasn't disappointed. It does nice colours mainly using AI, but the 3 8mp cameras don't make it like a 24mp camera, don't be fooledAll being said, the camera isnt horrific for most day to day usage, for landscape photos and general friends photos, it's alright and the colours are goodClose up is really where it struggles, mainly on focussing. It really struggles to be able to take photos on anything within focal range of about a hand-span, which doesn't make it very good when you want to get a photo of something small like a missing screw etcThe rest of the camera seems ok, the internal facing camera is good, better than my last phone was, though I don't take many selfies, so this only matters to me when I video call peopleI have attached photos of a landscape view and also a close up, as you can see, it can't go too close up, but does a nice job of colours being rich for landscape thought does sometimes struggle with AI feature and over-exposes the skyFor most things it's alright but it's by no means for a photographer who uses this phone then edits the pictures on lightroom etc2. The features it has forfeited in order to have the high end bells and whistles like facial recognition, fingerprint scanner and a full screen with reasonably smallish bezel is some of the lower end featuresThe main one I miss is NFC, yes, this phone doesn't have NFC as far as I can find. For some people who rely on wireless bank paying it might be a deal breaker. For me it's not, that technology requires you have your card on you anyway, so I just use my card which has a chip in it insteadOther features missed include double tap screen to turn on and off, this is a software feature and I assume it's more Google's concession than the phone manufacturerAlso the headphone jack is at the top centre of the phone not the bottom, which for me isn't great because I then click the power button when putting it in my pocket and thus accidentally unlock the phone3. The processor-- Now truth be told, for 99.9% of people, this is unnoticeable, you only know because of the data sheet, and unless you're doing some very heavy machine learning based computing on it or even trying to play an very intensive game like asphalt 8 or 9 or whatever they're on now, then you wouldn't knowit's more than capable of keeping up with daily life, and I use quite a lot of apps open at once that are mid-demandingIt copes because it's got plenty of RAM, so it doesn't matter so much if the processor isn't amazing when it's got plenty of RAM and it can use that to help with computing thingsTruth be told, I'm blown away by all the software features and how solid the phone feels for the price, It's honestly persuaded me that no longer do I need to buy a flagship to get fast speeds and good featuresIt may have some confessions like the camera which is a shame but I'm willing to forfeit an extremely good camera for a mediocre one for half the costThe software is excellent and has great features like facial recognition, fingerprint scanning and other smart device features like knowing if you've picked your phone up and turn on the phoneGenerally it has a lot of the bells and whistles that flagship phones advertise, albeit at a slight cost to hardware like the cameraOverall, It's persuaded me to continue this instead of using a flagship phone and this has gone from being a temporary phone, to being my permanent phone!

Good for basic use
Purchased this for an older family member and so far it seems to do the job. It's no where near the specs or as responsive as the big brands, but that's obviously reflected in the price. For someone who wants to make calls, take a few photos, use social media and for light internet usage - it's great. The camera quality isn't that great (to be honest, far too many settings in the camera considering the overall image quality), but works fine for simple daylight shots. Battery life seems to be good but it's only been a couple of months use.Overall, this seems to be a competitively priced smartphone with some nice features.

amazing amazing!!
I've had this phone for nearly a year now and I've got to say that it's absolutely incredible for the price. I had to get this one as I couldn't afford another one and now I don't see why I should give it up. In some ways like battery and storage, it's so much better than my iPhone was. If you're in need of a temporary cheap phone, definitely definitely consider buying this one, you will not regret it.PROS:• the battery life is amazing, fast to charge and lasts a long time• storage never seems to fill up ever• it's fast, things load instantly• video streaming platforms like netflix and YouTube as good as the most expensive phone - they run perfectly• big screen• ive dropped it more times than I can count and not a single sign of damage• sound quality is amazing - music loud and clearCONS:• the camera isn't the best• not every call comes through. my friends have called me quite a lot recently which haven't came through my end. maybe that's because I've had it for nearly a year as it was perfectly fine up until recently• no face or fingerprint recognition but that was expected anyway100% would buy again if needed. thank you!

Not reliable enough
It is astounding you can get a very functional phone for this price. However, within 3 months it started failing in various ways most of which seem to be related to the battery.- It no longer charges beyond 80% no mattery what charger I use.- Sometimes it shows a battery level which is reasonably high most recently 68% then suddenly shuts off and reports 1% battery life requiring prolonged charging to turn back on.- It gets caught in a "recovery mode" boot loop. Leaving charging for prolonged periods seems to resolve this (but means you don't have a phone for some hours).- Camera quality is poor very noisy even in good lighting.- Sound quality muffled and poor microphone- Annoying watermark on camera you can switch this off in the settings- Battery not replaceable. On the other than it costs peanuts, when it works the battery seems to last.
