Blue Horse Caddy with Matching Brown Mat compatible with Chemex Coffee Maker

At the time I was looking to buy one of these (late November 2019) there were four different ones for sale on Amazon. They looked essentially identical (except for the silicone pads which were different colors). They were priced from $23 to $30 and I could discern no real difference between them. I chose Blue Horse because it was the only one made in America (and yet it was not the highest priced one).When I was first looking at these Chemex holders I thought "I could build one of these myself-why pay for one?" But then I admitted to myself I wasn't ever going to actually put the time in to do it. So I decided that, for $25, I'll just buy one. When It arrived I was happy to see that it was well made, well fitted together, and that I didn't need to do any sending or finishing. It was good right out of the box.On thing to note is that this box, plausibly, can be oriented two ways. With one way the silicone mat fits perfectly and with the other way the mat is too long. I noticed a couple reviewers stated that the mat they'd received was too long. I suspect that they just mis-oriented their box. My recommendation is that if you find your mat too short, rotate the box a bit and you'll find the mat now fits nicely.Overall this is a nice addition to my kitchen and worth the price.

My six-cup glass handle Chemex has been scooting around my counter for months. Kitchen towels under the Chemex helped some, but it wasn't a tenable solution. An addition, I hated trying to deal with the box of filters when I woke up bleary eyed before work.This caddy is awesome! No more searching for filters and having too many things cluttering my small kitchen counter. No more worrying that I'm about to drop my Chemex on the floor and having to deal with shards of glass scattered all over the place and invariably finding the odd shard days later imbedded in the bottom of my foot.At first I thought that I was missing the feet that attach to the bottom of the caddy. I notified customer service via email and I received a response the same day saying my feet were in the mail. A few days later, I found my cats playing with the feet that were *not* missing in the first place. I accidentally dropped them when I was taking the caddy out of the box (the feet are clear), and my cats decided to take them into the bathroom to bat them around (they come on one piece of silicone, and you pop each one out - easy peasy).Soooo, yeah. User and cat error. Meanwhile, I have an extra set of feet...Awesome, awesome customer service, and bad, bad kitties.

I like this caddy and it's great for my coffee pot and filters. Couldn't be happier. Yes I recommend this product

I love how my Chemex & Filters fit into it.

The simple and sleek design of this caddy does its job at keeping your Chemex safe. We loved the design so much that we keep it as one of our three items on the kitchen counters. However, it can also be stored just as well on a shelf. This caddy gives our Chemex a designated station and a home, protecting it from accidents. The mat it great, too! It is very multi-functional. Resting in the caddy is its first place. Fitting perfectly on a scale as we measure the water for pour over is the second. Resting on a table while we enjoy our pour over is the third (we find that Chemex coffee makers easily glide on a counter if the bottom is slightly wet, so the gripping mat is essential for it. Finally, we love that there is a separate section to store paper filters. The entire design just works together so well!

I got this partly for tidiness but especially to help protect the Chemex carafe from accidental damage against the tile backsplash and quartz counter. I also like having the filters close at hand. The silicone mat is excellent in itself. I'm amused by the number of reviews complaining that nothing fits--neither the Chemex nor the silicone pad--when it should be immediately obvious that the unit had to have been turned on its side! A card enclosed in the package even addresses this with two drawings, one X'd out, and the instructions, "Position the Chemex Caddy correctly. If the mat does not fit, flip it over so the mat fits." I'd add, "If you can't think outside the box, don't take it out of the box."

Helps keep the kitchen tidy

This thing is great, it looks nice and it does it's storage job well. The one thing that needs changed is the silicone drying mat. While the hexagon patter looks nice it hold onto water too much and is very difficult to clean out, I had to let vinegar soak in it to clean it last time. A better design would be straight lines originating from the center but not showing until outside the logo bounds continuing to the outer edge of the mat, this would allow the water to evaporate from the mat faster by letting it spread out more. Just my thoughts. Still a great product.
