Disappointed won't buy again.
I'm personally not impressed. I really wanted to like them, being that they're organic, in bulk and a great deal, but I just can't get over how many are dry, or icky sticky. I don't know, just not for me I guess. I'm happy My husband likes these just fine because in the end he will have to eat all 11 lbs by himself because I gave up on them after two separate servings just continued to turn me off. I'm not sure if it's the packaging or what that allows for such a variation in the state of the dates. The dry ones seem to be older and sticker ones seem to be fresher, but I don't know. I was personally turned off by the very dry texture of some and the down right slimy sticky texture of others. When I found this deal I had hoped to be making regular purchases of these dates , buy sadly I can't say I will buy these again. I will definitely pay a bit more and get them on nuts, because they never fail to provide divine dates in bulk.

Better than any dates that you will buy in U.S. stores
These are the best dates that I have had in the U.S. - other than the ones that my husband brought back with him from a trip to Saudi Arabia. I will definitely buy these again. Before they arrived, I was eating some of the better quality ones that are available in the local stores and was content. I put these in a basement refrigerator - where there is more room and I have to go downstairs to get them rather than just sit and eat from the box. A couple of times, when I just wanted a couple without making the trip, I have grabbed them from the package I was eating from before. What a disappointment once you grow accustomed to these better ones! Mind you - another reviewer has commented that the ones bought at Sam's are "softer". The other ones that I have are soft (and I purchased in January, so these have dried a bit as they have been stored) but it seems artificial by comparison and the taste isn't nearly as sweet.

Best dates in the US!
The best dates I've had so far in the US. Everyone at work attest of the same thing. Forget about those Medjoul dates you usually find in stores, or even the dry, pitted ones from Costco. This is the real deal!

These organic dates are hard and extremely dried compared to medjool dates
I'm not happy about the product. About half the dates were hard and extremely dried. I would compare these to the cheap sunsweet or sun-maid pitted dates in texture and taste. I got used to Bard Valley medjool dates from Sammy's Club and regret trying these out. Lessen learned back to medjool dates. Those are moist, bigger, soft, and taste way better than these neglet or Deglet noor dates. Bard Valley also sell organic medjool dates for those concerned about the difference and want to compare them health wise. The only good thing for me about these dates was that it kept me from over eating them.
