Heavy and nice. Antique, like me. Works as advertised. Push button. Joking aside really nice product.

I can't say how easy it was to install. My painters did it but didn't complain. I do know the hole left by the previous doorbell was about the same size. That was an old plated rectangular style with a little round press in the center. All he really had to do was drill into the stucco for the screws. The center of this attached to the wiring and it goes into that hole perfectly. I don't answer my door to strangers and I already have cameras elsewhere so getting a camera bell to encourage anyone to actually ring it was out of the question. This was vintage enough that they may just not think it works lol. And it goes with my new light also found on Amazon. I don't hear the bell as well when it's presses though but that's a null point for me. It's also nice and heavy, doesn't feel cheap.

Easy to install and looks great.

This is cute and a very good price. But it was, for me, not the easy DIY advertised. There were no instructions with it, so I had to google how-to videos. And in those videos (and on my old doorbell) the wires wrapped around the screws like you do for light switch boxes. These poke through the holes under the screws — and I wasted a couple of frustrating hours trying to wrap them. (Thanks to Olive in one of the earlier reviews who had a picture of her installation!)Also, my existing wires weren’t long enough, so I had to splice new wire one.AND I had to drill a 1” hole in my siding to make room for the way the wiring sticks out the back of the doorbell. (Others have photos of that below as well.) Which wouldn’t have been so hard if the existing wires weren’t (of course) right in the middle of where the hole needed to go. Had to be SUPER careful not to get them caught up on the drill bit.So, I’m happy with the end result, but instructions would have made it much easier to get there.

Es un timbre de sustitución para otro en mi casa. Es un timbre sencillo y tradicional. Solo funciona en timbres antiguos o aquellos donde realmente el boton active una señal o voltaje.Yo lo puse en menos de media hora, quitando el anterior y poniendo el nuevo.Me gusto mucho las terminales que son de tornillo, es facil montar los cables en ellos.

I was impressed with this out of the box - it's solid metal and the button has a nice action - it doesn't feel flimsy. I am even more impressed that after a year of being baked in the afternoon sun and surviving a Canadian winter, it still looks brand new.

We love the look and feel of this door bell button. Very sturdy. We paired it with an underdome bell inside and people just love to ring it. Lol..
